Cat clicker training vids18 Jun 2007 05:09 GMT3
I found these while looking at the father video. Interesting! The
shelter uses clicker training to get the cats to come out and be
socialble

Captain and Stanley, Pacifist Kitties18 Jun 2007 00:04 GMT5
Poor Captain and Stanley can't bear to hear harsh voices. They don't
react when I'm watching a hockey game and hollering at the TV, but if
they hear human voices hollering at each other, that's a different
story.

The camera is --> way over there. But the camera phone is handy. So
you get a lower quality picture again. The gray head is Little Boy.
The orange sweetie is Little Feet:

A Saturday Cat...17 Jun 2007 22:46 GMT1
I went to work on Saturday. I don't usually work Saturdays, but I've
been away on a course, and had some catching up to do.
The site where I work is very empty on a Saturday afternoon - there was
just one car parked outside the office. Under the car was... a cat!
Greedy vet!17 Jun 2007 21:28 GMT16
I'm quite disgusted with an emergency vet clinic I took one of my cats
to last night. Tom has recently started sneezing badly which started
worrying me. The vet at the emergency place (whose name is Madonna)
said that I should leave Tommy overnight which would cost me $500 to
RPCA book club17 Jun 2007 17:50 GMT3
Found this wonderful site:
http://www.bookcrossing.com/
And its all about tracking books that get exchanged from one person to
another or even 'let out in the wild' where someone has just left it to be

The woman who put this together and has spoken at a hearing on this is
the one who started the Toonces Project:

Cleo is a Crack Head!17 Jun 2007 05:58 GMT3
Cleo was on my lap trying to do the upside downy head when gravity got the
better of her and she just slithered away between my legs. It looked like a
snake slithering back down it's hole, very fluid. Then she popped right back
up, with an I meant to do that look. :-)
Well THAT was fun (for about a minute...)16 Jun 2007 23:44 GMT3
John bought the girls a panic mouse on Ebay... he got it out of the
box, put some batteries in, and set it going on the bed... three cats
appeared out of nowhere to investigate. Tessie circled it warily,
ducking whenever the whirling pompom got too close to her head...
A funny story (OT, sorta)16 Jun 2007 22:02 GMT6
Preface:  A few years ago I bought a Big Fogg misting system for my patio.
http://www.bigfogg.com/backyard-outdoor-cooling-misting-kit.html
Basically it's a hose with little brass misting nozzels spaced a few feet
apart and you secure it to the top of your wooden fence with little ...
Cool Cat Scratcher I found Online16 Jun 2007 21:34 GMT9
My cat absolutely loves this new cat scratcher that I got on
Muttropolis online, and it was really reasonably priced-only $25
bucks. Its called the Original Scratch Lounge and my cat Winston has
moved from ruining my furniture to scratching forever on this thing:

A Rant. (TW maybe)16 Jun 2007 20:33 GMT39
I just have to get this down into words to people that might
understand.
I popped into the shelter today, intending to quickly take some photos
for the newsletter and leave.
Adventures of Stinky Nick: I'm NOT your mommy!16 Jun 2007 07:23 GMT8
I was woken up in the middle of the night last night by a bitty
walking on my chest.
Nick proceeded to purr and snuggel up against my neck and started
kneading.
Why do they need my credit card info for a FREE order??15 Jun 2007 23:14 GMT14
So I finally went to stamps.com - I've had the link for months. This
is a site that allows you to upload a photo to be printed on genuine
United States postage. I thought it would be fun to immortalize my
gang on some postage.
