Stinky,  Micromanager14 May 2007 22:16 GMT5
Fed the cats this morning, and went back to bed for a little snooze.
Got in, closed my eyes, and heard Stinky's "Rwow!"
I was on my side, facing the wall, so I turned on my back.  Stinky
climbed on my chest, but did not sit down as he usually does.  He
Neighbour's dog went to RB14 May 2007 22:08 GMT3
Just found out my neighbour's dog Chico went to RB 10 days ago.  I
know he was in poor health for some time.
Now Rusty has outlived  the 2 dogs who lived next to us. We will miss
hearing the barking from next door.
Still Perfect Skin14 May 2007 22:08 GMT1
I reported a few weeks ago that Baby Eyes' skin had cleared up completely. I
don't know if it was due to the change in her food, but it could be...
When we ran out of the Organix brand of kibble that I got on sale, they ate
the old stuff (with corn in it) for a week or two, and ...
The Sock Taliban + my life lately14 May 2007 22:05 GMT14
I'm actually surprised at how long it's been since I posted...I didn't
"think" I was gone that long, but apparently I have been!
Things got pretty insane over here.  I got a full time job, instead of
working 4 part time ones trying to make ends meet, suddenly I'm doing
re: Cat Slaves Pam S. contact number14 May 2007 22:03 GMT6
I talked to Pam last night (by phone).  She says she is "over the hump" and
starting to recover.  However, she has a serious infection and expects to be
in the hospital a while longer. The younger generation brought Rob to the
hospital a couple of times so he could visit her.
The Unbearable Cuteness of Bengal Kittens Serious KFW warning.14 May 2007 14:57 GMT4
If you want more cats, but really can't afford to add a new member to
your clowder, DON'T watch this video or you are
doomed.
If you go ahead and look anyway,  you're a true cat slave. =o) These
Switch from Hills z/d to California Natural for cat with licky granuloma?13 May 2007 22:53 GMT4
My cat has had a "licky granuloma" problem for several years.  We treat
it with about 5 mg/day of Prednisolone (sometimes less and sometimes none
if it's improving).
I've tried changing her foods, but she loves Fancy Feast.  What I've done
Report13 May 2007 21:10 GMT20
Had to drag myself from my sickbed to report this important milestone in
Caliban's life: he has lost his first whisker! At least I haven't found
any before. Now I spotted a big white whisker laying on 'his' hair. My
baby has really grown up now, to lose a whisker! :P
oh, sad...13 May 2007 21:08 GMT18
My godson's kitty Dusty went to RB a couple of days ago (heart
problems).  He's 17 and she has been with the family for 13 of those
years.  He's a mess.  Purrs anyone?

I'm home!13 May 2007 21:01 GMT6
Well, I'm finally home again after my whirlwind tour of western Canada.
Had 6 days in each of Victoria, Vancouver and Calgary.
My visit with my parents in Victoria could tentatively be described as
successful as nothing shocking or terrible happened and we were pretty
Where's the Bug Patrol?13 May 2007 19:41 GMT21
Persia is usually so good about tracking down and killing bugs, except for
the one Palmetto bug that keeps showing up in my bathroom sink.  And they
are vile, disgusting critters.  Really just very large (flying) roaches (aka
water bugs).  I think they come up through the drains.  ...
Happy Meowmie's Day!13 May 2007 19:28 GMT5
Happy Meowmie's Day to all the meowmies.
Mine just reminded me today is Mother's Day! Hope she doesn't expect a
gift from me.

Pam Shirk Update 10:30 GMT Fri 11th May13 May 2007 14:20 GMT15
I've just spoken to Pam Shirk as of 22:30 GMT, and she seems in good
spirits. She has been downgraded into the Stepdown unit (whatever that
is) which suggests that they are getting things under control. She's
got no idea how long it will take to get her better.
Purrs for a 6-month-old abandoned kitty12 May 2007 23:05 GMT19
Hi, all!
I have need of some purrs, but I need to give you all a bit of
backstory first, since I'm not entirely sure what the best thing to
purr FOR is. (Bear with me -- it's 3:25 AM here and I've got
Just Ducky12 May 2007 22:12 GMT2
It seems that a mama mallard has decided to take up residence alongside our
house, right beneath the window Stosh regularly patrols. And I hope he hasn't
frightened her off!
I first saw Daphne ducking around a couple weeks ago, leaving for the bus;
