Pam S update (May 18)23 May 2007 20:59 GMT4
I talked to Pam this evening.  She is still in the hospital.  She said to
tell Stormee many thanks for the package with the clipboard and mechanical
pencils that arrived today.
She had had surgery to clear out the infected tissue and the gangrene.
I love having 2 older cats23 May 2007 20:57 GMT11
I have 2 12-year old cats and I just gotta say how much they have
grown into my life:
Casey wakes me up for work with pawing at my face if I don't get up by
clock alarm.  He has a self-alarm and it doesn't matter if it is a
A First!!!23 May 2007 20:50 GMT20
Most of you know Persia came to me front declawed.  She hates having her
front paws touched and I don't blame her.
We have a little routine where I lie on my side on the sofa when I'm
watching TV or reading and she snuggles close in front of me.  Sometimes she

baregrandkitten thinks he's a cat23 May 2007 20:20 GMT12
My baregrandkitten is now 9 months old.  You may remember that when he was
new, we rented a place near him for the winter and he spent a lot of time
with us as Cinder and Rosie were teaching him the ways of cats.
Well, we have been back in Texas for a couple of months.  The other ...
Rev up purrs for poor CHIBI-cat23 May 2007 20:16 GMT10
She hasn't come home yet. Cantate is still hoping to see her again. I
thought maybe if we all concentrated some purrs their way it might work one
of those "furry butt home now" miracles....
Purrs for Marilyn23 May 2007 20:09 GMT5
Marilyn was my baby Brandy's first two-legged mama; she'd found Brandy and
her brother near an elementary school where the kids had been feeding them
from thei lunches and playing with them. First the brother found a home, then
we took our "Bit," and have been indebted to Marilyn ...
Purrs for my friend, please23 May 2007 19:56 GMT12
One of my two very best friends, Diane, is scheduled for surgery on June
5th.  She has Multiple Sclerosis, having been diagnosed at the very young
age of 32.  She's 5 years younger than I am (I'll be 47 in 2 months) and is
now permanently in a wheelchair.
Candle request for an RB old soldier23 May 2007 19:53 GMT14
Winkie, the 22.5yo burmese-like (but true moffie really) cat who owned
Margaret and Orlando (my next-door neighbours for the last 5 years), had to
be PTS at TEDs today.
He was a really feisty guy who stepped aside for nothing and nobody in his
Cats 'n' Turtles23 May 2007 19:51 GMT11
See www.cuteoverload.com for two amazing videos of cats and turtles.
One that went up a couple of days ago-- a determined box tortoise
seems bent on getting a couple of kitties off his lawn.  In the more
recent one, a leetle turtle is equally determined, but he just seems
Cleo's boyfriend has a website23 May 2007 19:47 GMT16
I posted not long ago about the cat that was visiting our home.   We
named him Caesar because he seemed to be courting our Cleopatra
through the window.  Marc Antony just seemed too long a moniker for
him.  At first he visited once a week or so, then it was every time

Vino won't jump23 May 2007 13:15 GMT22
He doesn't jump anymore at all.  I have noticed that his jumping has
tapered off over the last 2 years or so.  Even back in Thailand I would
sometimes see him miss a jump and then he would not try that same jump
again for months and months.
Finally got a Furminator23 May 2007 11:04 GMT5
There was a question posted to this group some time ago where someone wanted
to know about the Furminator.  I finally got around to getting one, and it
gets a *fantastic* amount of fur with only a few strokes.  I had no idea
there was still that much loose stuff on my furbabies.  ...

I thought this was kind of funny.
