Francesca's Adoption Day Anniversary...25 May 2007 21:33 GMT10
Was yesterday, and I forgot to mention it!  Anyhow, three years ago
yesterday, a lovely six month old brown tabby lady came home to live
with Pan and me. She was so generous, she even had a surprise inside!
I remember Pan was bewildered and intrigued to have a new cat's smell

Purrs for two itty-bitties25 May 2007 21:26 GMT15
Well, this morning when I walked out the door I heard Jona talking to
somebody.  It wasn't the usual male throaty call from the Somebody; it

and seriously talking.  It looked like she was trying to convince
Little Boy cuddles25 May 2007 21:24 GMT5
Little Boy has started claiming the unused part of my pillow.
He circles around a few times, scootches up close, and lays with his
fur right up in my face. Filtered air was never so nice. I put my arms
around him, and he purrs nice and loud in my ear.

My birfday, 5/21. Ho hum.... Back when I was a cab driver, in 1973, I was
"Car 54". Anyone remember that TV show, "Car 54, Where Are You?"
On the Importance of Food (long)25 May 2007 21:22 GMT18
Unlurking to post some musings by my little monster, as dictated by him.
It's only his second writing ever, so please be kind :-)

Let me tell you my life's motto: eat, eat, and eat again, for tomorrow

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- U.S. health officials are beginning to check all
shipments of toothpaste coming from China, following reports of tainted
products in other countries, a government spokesman said Wednesday.

Just to let you know I'll be mostly absent from posting because my
news server has gone on vacation. So, we'll be sending out good
vibrations with full confidence that they will somehow find  their way
to those who need them.
Cat Heaven25 May 2007 10:44 GMT1
We have been away for a week, so this morning I visited the "Cat Spa" to
pick up Molly and Jake.
They survived, told me about their week all the way home in the car, etc.
We have learned that Molly can be bathed and looks quite nice with her white

I added about 3 cups to a large litterbox with about 5" of litter in it,
about 6 hours ago... Before adding it I took a reading on the odor and it
was RANK+++ and now it it Virtually Odorless.

Mosquitoes (On Topic)24 May 2007 17:36 GMT22
After such a wet spring we are having a real mosquito epidemic. I
imagine lots of you all in other parts of the country are having more
of them this year too.
I never really considered heartworm for the cats, because they're
Has the cost of catfood skyrocketed lately?24 May 2007 03:41 GMT26
Or is it just Petco? I went to buy cat supplies today and I was
shocked that a perfectly ordinary load of Science Diet kibble (one
large bag and one small one), a large bag of Feline Pine, a dozen
small cans of food and a pot of catgrass came to sixty dollars! I was

Freddy has joined my household and is getting along just famously with Mongo
(the loudmouthed lovable siamese bastard), Luna (a persian puffball), and
Bob (a chuhuahua/peckonese/jack russel terrior rat-dog).
Freddy is without tail;  He was picked up from the animal shelter by "halo"
The Other Shoe Has Dropped23 May 2007 23:26 GMT58
Some of y'all may recall that among my myriads of difficulty was that
the landlord was selling the apartment building.  He did, and after a
couple of months with nothing from the new landlord (not even an
introductory note), today in the mail I got a lease.
