Had a bad dream and bapped Persia on the head!09 May 2007 23:50 GMT6
Oooops!  I was snuggled on the sofa with Persia next to me and I fell asleep
and was dreaming.  I thwacked her on the head!  Oh, no, poor baby :(  She
squeaked and I woke up.  I was very apologetic and she has forgiven me but I
felt so bad about it.  I didn't mean to hit her on the ...
Has anyone ordered from PetFoodsDirect.com?09 May 2007 23:43 GMT17
I was just thinking of ordering and was wondering how the shipping and
quality is.  Is the food fresh (based on the manufacturing date on the
package).  Is it shipped in a manner so that the food (especially the dry
food in the paper bags) is protected from sunlight and the other ...

Shadow's wary09 May 2007 21:55 GMT6
Shadow's still living in the summer house which I'm happy about but when I
go in to feed him he leaves via the window. This is what he used to do I
think it's going to take awhile to get his trust back but I'm sure I will.
At least he's healthy and has food and shelter.

Homemade cat food: part II09 May 2007 21:47 GMT9
About a month ago, someone posted a recipe for a mix to add to cooked
meat, to use for feeding cats a home-cooked diet:
 Vita-Mineral Mix (water-soluable vitamins)
1-1/2 c. yeast powder (brewers yeast powder)
(Almost) Making peace with Roomba09 May 2007 21:34 GMT8
The Roomba ran through the house, scattering worried cats wherever it
went. At last, it finished, stopping next to the bed.
I was lying down and reading. Little Feet had joined me.
When the Roomba came to stop, Little Feet stared at it for awhile, to make
Buddies to the end - TW09 May 2007 21:25 GMT9
Last year aboutthis time I posted that Two Rivers junction had burned
down but the owners animals were safe.  Turns out that wasn't accurate.
Today as I biked by I thought I saw Rafter, an older black cat, and
wheeled in, but it wasn't to be.  The owner was there and told me that
[BW] I am so embarrassed09 May 2007 21:21 GMT21
I am typing this from Krispy Kreme, where I ordered a couple of donuts and
a pint bottle of milk. One of those little plastic bottles with a pull-off
milk ring.
I sat down, spread a napkin to put the donuts on, pulled the milk ring and

Tessie the cat-burglar09 May 2007 15:03 GMT2
I have a pair of small kookaburra and koala toys on the top of our
bookshelf to remind me of Australia... Tessie's not supposed to be up
there but she's fascinated by them and I'm always walking out to the
livingroom to find one or both of them lying on the floor at the base
Pupil Dilation08 May 2007 23:53 GMT20
I have a newly adopted adult cat who I have noticed has consistant dilated
pupils.  From what I can tell she is a Burmese.  Is this normal, or should I
be concerned?  Are there any illnesses that may affect her eyes in that way
or do Burmese normally have dilated eyes?
Webby Award for CuteOverload!08 May 2007 22:20 GMT15
W00t!  My favorite blog won a Webby award!
http://www.webbyawards.com/webbys/current.php#webby_entry_weird
Of course it's in the "Weird" category, but if a daily diet of
cuteness is weird, I don't want to be-- not weird. :P
The work of shelter volunteers08 May 2007 21:09 GMT4
Shelter workers rescuing lots of cats owned by a hoarder:

There were so many that the cats were split between several different
rescue organizations.
