Her Frog Prince14 Apr 2007 22:41 GMT3
I collect froggies. Carved stone froggies, glass froggies, beanie-frogs, you
name it. Last year, a friend who knows of my amphibious fixation gave me as a
gift a giant stuffed froggie one night at karaoke, as thanks for setting her
up with a guy we mutually know. We had a blast: I ...
Cat hair14 Apr 2007 22:08 GMT12
I've been brushing everyone to cut down on shedding and hairballs. Abelard
has the shortest short hair of any cat I've ever known, and Billy has the
longest long hair. The tool that works on Billy has absolutely no effect on
Abelard, and vice versa.

Unfortunately, we're only allowed 5 letters for names, but I'm sure
she and her family understand.
Ping Pong14 Apr 2007 21:57 GMT10
Sometimes I feel like the net in a ping pong game. Hobbes to Sam to
Hobbes to Sam.
Last night I noticed Sam in the squat position in the litterbox longer
than usual. When he got out all he left behind was a very small spot
Late night drama14 Apr 2007 16:24 GMT19
We live in the country.
This time of year, the whole house just smells like skunk. (mating season.)
The other night, one went off near the house. (A skunk, I mean)
I mentioned to DW that this one smelled particularly strong, and she
Question for a friend's cat13 Apr 2007 23:44 GMT3
My friend has this lovely white cat (dumb as a post, but isn't that a
white cat trait?) who is growing bigger and bigger every day.  Poor
Spot is up to 20 lbs now and is having mobility problems, at only 4
years old.  (he's too fat to clean his backside properly)
Update: Casper13 Apr 2007 22:25 GMT15
Just a short note....Eric and I are pretty well exhausted...
We went for a visit today at lunch and got an update from Dr. J.
She's tolerating the tube feedings quite well, as long as they don't
overdo it.  One of the other vets in the practice told Dr. J today at

Hugs all around13 Apr 2007 22:20 GMT7
I was driving home tonight, and saw a black cat with a pink collar,
lying in the grass next to the road. The poor thing was obviously
dead.
As soon as I got home, I grabbed Dulce Mae and hugged the resistance
Vet Tech Journals:  *sigh*13 Apr 2007 22:12 GMT7
Sometimes the people i meet in this field just surprise me.
There's been some recent developments at the clinic.  I haven't been
at work since last tuesday since my nec kwas hurting and my doctor
told me to take the rest of the week off.
Vicarious caring13 Apr 2007 22:05 GMT5
A few days ago, TV and newspapers here in Finland were full of the story
of how a little baby seal was found on a beach in Helsinki, how the
people from the Helsinki City Zoo were called in to catch it and take it
to the zoo for TLC until it can be released back in the wild. It ...
Sun stripes13 Apr 2007 21:44 GMT10
Miranda and Caliban were enjoying the sun by the window, where the sun
sifted through the blinds. It made a nice effect (the 3 first pictures):

Pilling Samson  (BW)13 Apr 2007 21:32 GMT5
Samson has a little tooth problem so I have to give him pills.  Last
time we hid the pills in moist cat treats, crushed and re-molded
around the pill, and it worked like a charm.  But the local stores are
not selling the same brand of treats that we used, and other brands
Purrs, Please, for Our Casper13 Apr 2007 21:24 GMT22
Would you and your furry masters please purr for our Casper-kitty?
She's hospitalized, on IV fluids, antibioitcs and had a feeding tube
inserted today to try and turn this around.  It all happened so
fast...
