Chicken wire closure22 Apr 2007 19:54 GMT6
Please forgive me for posting on topic, I promise not to do it
again.
Today I had a service call, to a cat shelter. There is an outdor
cat run, probably 15 by 15 feet. The walls and "roof" such as it
Cats and Roomba, part II22 Apr 2007 15:55 GMT3
There is apparently a silent war going on here. The Roomba usually
chases the cats around, and the cats run away far enough to keep away,
but close enough to keep an eye on it.
Last week, I caught Little Feet sitting on top the Roomba while it was

Of my RB kitty, Blizzard, on alt.binaries.pictures.animals.
She went to the Bridge in April of 2001.
The pics aren't very good; they are scans of old photos. The photos look
nice, but my scanner isn't very good.

Well, it looks like all of the wonderful purrs you have all been sending
have worked wonders, like usual. On Monday, Apr 23 Nancy and I will be
closing on the purchase of our house in Newton, IA. We will be spending
the next week or so slowly moving our stuff from Grinnell to Newton ...

A better use for flea collars22 Apr 2007 02:12 GMT4
I don't put flea collars on my pets anymore because there are better
and safer products to use on them, but I have a new reason to buy the
collars.  We have had wasps nesting under our deck for years.  The
deck is so low that we couldn't climb under it to spray wasp killer or
This is adorable!21 Apr 2007 22:55 GMT7
I was looking for lyrics for 'The Cat Came Back' but what turned up
was a reference to this CD - Irish Drinking Songs for Cat-lovers...
this guy (who's apparantly pretty talented) has rewritten a whole
passel of traditional tunes with feline lyrics and recorded them...

Little Whale, RB21 Apr 2007 22:08 GMT7
A couple of days ago, a little whale swam into our harbor and into a
canal.  It made a lot of people happy and for a few moments took away
the sadness of the VT massacre that had settled around the city.  We
have sea mammals visit us from time to time with no ill effects-- we
A little OT, but not really:-)21 Apr 2007 21:59 GMT18
Dear group,
we are living in a community called Selfkant in Germany. We are the
westliest community in Germany, quasi a bump of Germany, which sticks
into the Netherlands.
Some purrs for Tessa appreciated21 Apr 2007 21:49 GMT15
Some of you may remember that apart from this group one of the people who
kept me sane while Dave was in hospital was a very old friend called Tessa,
who had her dad in hospital at the same time?.
I just emailed her to check if our usual lunch date was on and she just told

I was playing around with my Nokia tonight and happened to catch them
lazing around. I swear, the shot of her looks professional, if I do say so!
Such a long way she's come! She had to go to the vet for shots last week
and they recommended getting her bathed and groomed (re ...
John Saved Some Kittens!21 Apr 2007 21:43 GMT12
He lives out in the country but even that (apparently) isn't safe.  He was
driving along a 2 lane road, coming around a sharp curve (he said people
just FLY down that road and whip around the curve).  He saw something in the
opposite lane and wasn't sure at first what it was.  Then ...
