I was on the sofa in my shorts (no, not those shorts) when Smokey jumped up
to rest in my lap. This is significant in itself, since Smokey is not crazy

Some time ago I posted about Miranda's annual check-up, which went
without a hitch, so I called it a non-event. Well, today it was
Caliban's turn to go, and this was a whole nother kettle of fish.
Miranda meekly walks into her carrier when I carry her over to it.

Our sweet Kazoo has been diagnosed with cancer and will be operated on
Friday.

Mayhem, being the fluffiest one of my three, has a long fluffy tail.
And she's VERY particular about it.  She'll groom it, display it for
all to see, and if it gets out of line, she beats the snot out of it.
If i'm petting her and my hand pets her tail, she turns around
