My precious Scouty-chicken actually climbed onto my lap and WENT TO
SLEEP! Usually she drapes herself across my tummy and sits on my
diaphragm, but this time she slid down onto my lap-proper and she was
too contented to run away. I scritched her ears and she purred and

King Arthur and Mordred04 Mar 2007 18:19 GMT4
Hi all.  I lurk mostly but some here know me.
I would like to tell you a tale of Jealithe and King Arthur.
Jealithe is an older black kit with one small white spot on her
stomach.  I tried for over a year and more to bring her in as she gimped
On the road Thurs & Fri04 Mar 2007 18:15 GMT4
We are in Buffalo, Wyoming, after two days on the road.
We crossed the top of Idaho and the western part of Montana yesterday. The
mountain passes had some snow, but the plows had them cleared enough so that
we did not have any trouble getting through.
I'll never get caught up04 Mar 2007 18:03 GMT5
I am going to have to send blanket purrs and headbutts to everyone in
need.  For some reason, a little over a month ago, I lost access to
the Group through both of my newsgroup providers (work and Comcast).
I've wondered what I might have said that ticked everyone off so badly
Slipping behind yet again04 Mar 2007 17:50 GMT5
So blanket purrs for those who need them.
The nasty winter storms hit us, too.  It's been yucky.
My waterbed sprang a leak, and a friend kindly bought me a new mattress
-- yeah!

Anyone heard how she's doing, or what she found out on the trip to the
doctor?

Because when it rains it pours: Louie purrs04 Mar 2007 16:02 GMT19
Louie's grandmother passed yesterday afternoon.
I barely knew the lady but she was very gracious, and in her last years of
illness she busted her onions to make it to the wedding of the first son born
to any of her children. She was also one of the very few who didn't visibly
Off days?04 Mar 2007 15:54 GMT5
Do cats have "off" days?
Yesterday I got up walked into the kitchen....and stood in a pile of cat sick
that seemed impossibly large for either cat, had visions (whilst cleaning it
off my bare feet-Ugh!) of the pair of them sitting next to each other and
So kind04 Mar 2007 15:48 GMT9
For lunch today I had a small salmon sandwich. Waffles will kill for fish,
so as soon as I sat down to enjoy my snack, a one-eyed, furry feline with
whiskers stuck out as far as possible and who, all of a sudden, developed a
purr as loud as a 747 on take-off, appeared by my elbow ...
Smokey - RB04 Mar 2007 15:37 GMT54
Our elder statesman (17YO) began his journey to the Rainbow Bridge today.
He had not been eating well for some time.  Three weeks ago, the vet
thought he found a mass and did a needle biopsy on it.  The report came
back all clear, but he still wasn't eating normally and was losing ...
Otis and Andrew04 Mar 2007 15:20 GMT16
Well, the first few days were rough.  Andrew needed to eat constantly and
cried a fair bit and Otis was locked in the basement at night so that he
wouldn't keep prying at the door.  When I went to pet him afterwards, he
actually shrank away from my hand and wouldn't let me touch ...
On the road again04 Mar 2007 02:38 GMT23
Thursday (March 1), we will say good-bye to our grandbaby and his parents
and load Cinder and Rosie in a rented car to start our trip back to our
boat.  The people who purchased our furniture are taking the stuff away
today, so our apartment is almost empty.  The cat tree is ...
twisty cats03 Mar 2007 21:07 GMT1
Please do something about these people.  (see the link)

If you can't PLEASE find someone that can.

Tails03 Mar 2007 04:56 GMT11
Cat tails can be so fascinating. Not least to the cats themselves. Like
most Russian Blues, Miranda has a very long tail. Lately, she has been
chasing that pesky grey snake that keeps following her around. She sits
in the shower stall (her favourite place - don't ask) and ...
