Was that thing a tapeworm fragment??17 Feb 2007 17:10 GMT9
I got a nasty shock tonight. My cat jumped on the desk, and rubbed

finger...it was whitish, maybe 5 mm long, 1 mm wide, and it was moving
very slowly. A brief web search seems to suggest it was a tapeworm

Houston Humane Society offering Valentine's Day special to "declaw cats"16 Feb 2007 23:58 GMT30
This is disgusting!  I wrote a few days ago in a thread in h+b to defend
some of the HSUS practices, but this is absolutely revolting.  Read what the
Houston Humane Society (note: Houston, not the national HSUS) is advertising
as a "Valentine's Day special" for cats (free ...

I have a friend who is suffering from short-term memory problems and
it looks like they may have an (as yet unknown) organic cause... she's
waiting to see the neurologist and very scared, so can I please have

Attack of the Shopping bag!15 Feb 2007 20:53 GMT2
John bought me a beautiful box of chocolates for valentines day and it
came in a lovely presentation bag with tissue paper in it... I left
the bag sitting out in the livingroom for the cats to play with, and
Tessie jumped in and out of it quite a few times yesterday. She just
Miss Pua15 Feb 2007 18:17 GMT66
I finally got a decent picture of Pua.  She was sitting in my chair, looking
at me and sat still enough for me to get the camera.
The stripe on her body is a shadow from the arm of the chair; her body is
basically white.

did? I have the 'nature sounds' built into my clock radio, but they're quite
