Smokey is a Puddin' Head19 Feb 2007 17:43 GMT9
There was never much doubt that Smokey is a Puddin' Head, but now it's been
confirmed. When I have my individual Rice Pudding for dessert she's been
cleaning the lids for me. I knew she was a dairy cat, but this seems a bit
extreme?
Rob's Brain...Update.  OT and not good19 Feb 2007 10:08 GMT26
Rob's biopsy was the first scheduled procedure yesterday morning.  The
operation took almost four hours.  The long and short of it is that
some form of cancer is back.  The neurosurgeon thinks it is as bad,
(hopefully) or worse than what he had before.  I figure that, since Dr
It never rains, but it pours (mild GW)19 Feb 2007 05:48 GMT14
Slight grossness warning (although if you have a cat, this isn't
anything you haven't seen before).
This morning, I heard Smudge in the other room uttering a rather
uncharacteristic cry, which got my attention enough to make me go
A non-event19 Feb 2007 05:06 GMT7
Miranda went in for her annual shots yesterday. She was an angel, as
usual: completely silent all the way on the bus, came out of the carrier
and cowered (poor baby) on the examining table - weighed in at 3.4 kilos
(about 7.5 lbs), exactly the same as last year - gave a little ...
"Good comfort" from Holly and Duffy19 Feb 2007 04:16 GMT7
I got very annoyed this morning with some mistakes I made on a project and
started yelling *at myself.*  Does everyone do that??  Anyway, Holly and
Duffy always run *to* me when I do that and start head-butting.  It really
makes me feel good to know that they realize I am not ...
Not OT, But Disturbing. Help me.19 Feb 2007 00:15 GMT36
I just read an article in the local paper (complete with a photo which
horrified me)...about the little high school biology class's
dissection project, each student dissected a cat.
I am completely outraged about this, but I can't separate exactly what
He looked down my shirt!18 Feb 2007 22:22 GMT11
As I sat facing the computer monitor, Otis placed himself inbetween me and
the monitor and faced me.  He put his paw on my T shirt collar, pulled it
away from me, and stuck his head down my shirt!

My Mother in law is in her 80's and was moved from the nursing home to the
hospital Monday. She has pneumonia and other health problems. She is out of
state and her friends are keeping us informed. Yesterday one of her friends
went to see her and Cara didn't know who her friend ...
I'm still here; just slow!18 Feb 2007 22:02 GMT6
I don't know if it's the winter blues or what, but I am so tired and
spacey these days, it's hard to keep up with much of anything right now.
It looks like the landlord has got the building sold, as long as the
loan is approved.  Sigh.  I get the feeling this one is not such an
Pam and Rob18 Feb 2007 21:32 GMT2
I just received an email from my best friend.  Her son was dealing with the
VA for an illness that at first they wanted to say was in his head, it
turned out it wasn't and they aren't doing terribly bad in the care
department, if not fast at least some care is there.  This same ...
Just call us stupid!18 Feb 2007 06:35 GMT3
Our water has been frozen since tuesday night, and we tried all sorts
of things to get it thawed. Nothing seemed to be working, so we
brought out our little propane space heater, and put it on the window
beside the blockage.  Dave (DH) went outside to do some snow blowing,
Cat altar17 Feb 2007 22:45 GMT3
I've been reading LiveJournal lately, and I joined a community called
"pimp_my_altar". (I love looking at people's altars, and couldn't resist
the name. :)) One woman posted yesterday that her friend's cat had gone
missing, and she was going to go help her friend look for the cat.
Kayla has a job.17 Feb 2007 22:33 GMT9
I'm so proud of Kayla today.  I've been wracking my brain trying to come up
with more ways to exercise her that don't involve more effort than I can
handle.  And early spring is here, so the kids are dragging out skates and
skateboards.
