I usually buy the "Early Sunday" paper on Saturday, when I go grocery
shopping. The bag with the paper in it sits on an end table until I
finally decide to read it on Sunday morning. Here's how that went this

Make Levees, Not War

I was a bit of a sleepyhead this morning.  I first woke at 7. "no way on a
Sunday" I said to myself so I rolled over and went back to sleep.
I was woken up by a meow at the bedroom door at 9.30.  Boyfie was reminding
me that it was past time to let the chickens out and so it was.  ...

Poor Persia, she's hiding in the walk-in closet.  We have some really nasty
weather all around us (tornado watches and so on, although for now the
warnings have been cancelled).  The thunder is booming and the rain is
coming down in buckets.  She's so afraid of storms, poor thing, ...

Last evening, I was ensconced on the daybed, watching TV, and Stinky
jumped up beside me.  He climbed onto my chest, and said
rrrrRRRRrrRrrr!  rRrrrrrrRRRRRRrrrrrrr!  Rrrrrow!  This usually means
his dish is empty or getting that way.  So off we went to the kitchen

She squirms!  She squeaks!  She waves her teensy pawlets around!

Cara died Wednesday afternoon. She had told the doctor she was ready to be
with her husband who died a few years age.
Peter is on his way to Indiana this evening. The cats and I will be waiting

Xena was spayed yesterday and today has been very affectionate.  I was

Saw the oncologist yesterday.  Decided to try chemo, to keep her with
me a while longer.  The cost wasn't as high as I expected, and I
didn't realize that I could decide to stop treatment after a couple
times if there wasn't any improvement.  Annie had her first treatment

I finally got around to making video. I wish I had done it when Grant was
alive.
