What an embarrassing hoomin and dog!10 Feb 2007 20:27 GMT6
Hi, it's me, Cherry.  Last night I was out doing my usual supervision
of the dog walk.  We turned a corner, and I decided to take a graceful
antelope-leap over Joy (the dog, Brittany Spaniel).  At the same time
that undisciplined, painfully clumsy dog decided to dart forward and

I believe Spirit  has a UTI
He urinated on a bed, sprayed some curtains and some of my socks.  I know
he is not blocked since he is urinating with no problem.  I am calling the
vet in the Morning I hope to get him in pretty quickly.  I am not taking any
The new bed has been approved!10 Feb 2007 20:25 GMT1
Cali has given her seal of approval to the new bed. She says it's a little
too high for her liking, but the new smell and softer mattress top are to
her satisfaction. She said I may use it at night, but not during the day, as
it is HER bed after all.

I have posted some new pics of Tippy, Teddy and Kramer. I'll try to get one of
Tippy with his paws around Kramer. Every time I try to get a picture, he stops.

Flower Arranging with Your Cat10 Feb 2007 20:00 GMT4
On monday, I bought a bouquet of pink carnations, and made them into
one large and one small bouquet in my apartment. (It was my birthday,
wanted to brighten things up.) Nina mostly leaves the large bouquet on
my coffee table alone. But she and I are having a running argument

I didn't get a chance to go to yoga today, so I decided to do a quick
headstand (http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/481_1.cfm) and then exercise
in our machine then do a few other yoga poses.
Well, Issa decided that my head was at just the right height to rub his
Sad News - Tiffy is gone.09 Feb 2007 23:00 GMT41
Our sweet Tiffany (aka Tiffy) passed away today, Feb 6th, at 1:05pm.
Tiffy had Chronic Renal Failure and she had been ill for the past 6 weeks or
so. She hadn't eaten or drank anything on her own for several days. She was
surviving on assisted feeding by syringe. Last night her legs ...
Walgreen's commercial with a cat09 Feb 2007 15:40 GMT18
Has anyone seen it? The cat - a gorgeous silver tabby - is featured giving a
shoulder massage to a woman.
Ice Storm!09 Feb 2007 15:29 GMT1
It wasn't predicted so of course we got hit with sleet and freezing rain in
the wee hours this morning.  The traffic on the Interstate highways in west
TN is at a standstill and if you have to get to Memphis from Arkansas or
vice versa, forget about it!  The police have shut down ...

Need advice re: Roxy09 Feb 2007 03:56 GMT12
First, I want to say that I am not looking for advice in place of
taking Roxy to the vet. I'm looking for advice about *whether* I
should take her back ASAP.
It's been two days, and her eye doesn't look any better. Last night,
Strangers on the porch09 Feb 2007 02:28 GMT3
Eli's been at the front window howling and hissing. Two neighbor kitties
have decided that our front porch is a cool place to hang out. One of them
is a short-haired mackerel tabby, the other is a short-haired tuxie. Both
are quite young, maybe 5-6 months, and live at two ...

Are all the RPCA cats and their folks south of Perth OK?  Britta, I'm
thinking particularly of you.
For the benefit of the rest of the world, there have been fairly big
bushfires south of Perth for the last few days. In my geographical
