OGIE NEEDS YOUR HELP EVERYBODY15 Jan 2007 20:02 GMT3
He's contestant #3 in an online contest that only dogs have won. This
beautiful black cat really wants to win. He's in the lead right now, but
that could change quickly. He would have a purrfectly happy smile if we
all voted for him every day throughout the month of January. THANK ...
Cleo wins again.... ;)15 Jan 2007 05:38 GMT7
Cleo is on a special Royal Canin veterinary diet for sensitive stomachs.
She can't/won't eat Whiskas, Felix or any other brand of comercial cat
food as they either make her puke, give her the squits, occasionally
both depending on the cereal content, or she doesn't like them and

You only have a few days left to spend any tolars you have left, Snoopy and
Bagheera both agree that they should be spent on treats for Soncek. ;-)

Vet Tech Journals: 23 days left........15 Jan 2007 04:28 GMT12
23 days from today, on February 1st, I'll take my RVT state board exam.
So far i'm doing ok with my studying.  I have a CD-rom program where i
can take quizzes and practice exams.  The last two practice exams I
scored 83%.  While i don't know what the passing cut off point is, I
The Cauliflower Skirmish15 Jan 2007 03:03 GMT11
As I promised Abelard on Thursday, I did buy a head of cauliflower the next
day (yesterday). I cooked half of it tonight. I knew that I personally could
not eat half a cauliflower at one meal and wanted to be sure that Abelard
would have his fill.

We had a HUGE box-o-junk sitting in the bedroom for the last few weeks
since we had it painted... Tessie discovered it last week and happily
disappeared inside. Today I got sick of having the box sitting on the
floor so I put all the junk away and then moved the box into the

So blanket purrs to all who need them, congratulations and happy
birthdays and holidays all around!
We are curled up here at Chez Summer (aka "The House of Cats" -- NOT
"The Cat House".  There is a distinction.  Ahem. ).  It has finally
Weird Coincidence (OT)14 Jan 2007 19:48 GMT4
This had me cracking up.  The postman/woman put someone's magazine in my
mailbox by mistake.  I'm at 7040, she's at 7004.  Easy enough mistake if
you're in a hurry.  Then I noticed the woman's last name.  McGlown.  Oh you
have *got* to be kidding me!  LOL  I took the magazine to her ...

Sorry I haven't posted, been very busy with holidays, guests, work,
house stuff and Dennis.
Am having a relaxing catch-up day at home today and was reading posts
and came across the new RPCA FAQ thread.  Noticed my homepage is
Not fun at all14 Jan 2007 03:09 GMT14
I woke up Thursday with severe dizziness.  So bad slight changes of head
position caused me to vomit.  I called my brother that night to get some
help.  He lives upstairs with his wife and my niece.  They all work
during the day.  I decided to go one more day and see how I felt.  ...

Canned food experiment14 Jan 2007 01:54 GMT20
I read all the posts about wet food and went to the various web pages
cited a month or two ago.  Thought about it and decided it made some
sense so I would try my guys on a wet food only diet to see what
happened to water consumption and general health.

Trudi is a tiny girl, 8 pounds on a fat day.  She has never been very active
or "kitteny"  We found out that her stillness and cranky demeanor is
probably due to the fact that she has more than one Beebe in her back half.
She has been with us since she was around 8/12 weeks old.  ...
Hobo and blindness (re: Purrs and/or Advice)13 Jan 2007 21:01 GMT2
Many, many thanks to all of you for your comments and suggestions
regarding Hobo's imminent blindness.  You're the greatest.  I'd like
to thank each of you individually but hope a "blanket" thank-you will
be OK.  I think I have reasonably fair inteligence but not a lick of
