| Escaped leopard | 22 Dec 2006 19:13 GMT | 2 |
A clouded leopard escaped from her enclosure this morning at the National Zoo. She was safely recovered, and now I'm wondering if Spock was channeling his walking through walls to her? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/22/AR2006122200317.html

| A rare treat | 22 Dec 2006 17:01 GMT | 11 |
When Mir was a kitten, she used to treat me as a piece of furniture - she was always laying on me, sleeping on me, riding around on me, grooming on me. These days she doesn't like to be on my arm as often, so it was a rare treat when she decided to take a nap on my arm, not once

| I skeered my boy! :( | 21 Dec 2006 13:56 GMT | 24 |
I was walking into the computer room this evening, and Licky was standing in the doorway, waiting for me to come in so he could get petted (this room is his favorite place for that). I was moving at a fast clip, and he suddenly darted toward me, and we had a little

| Tommy hasn't grown up | 21 Dec 2006 11:12 GMT | 4 |
I never dreamed I'd see what I saw today: Tommy was laying on his back - for the first time, ever - and another first, Baby Eyes was washing his belly! At first it looked a bit, um, suggestive... but she was just being very thorough, taking complete care of her "kitten" including ...

| Eli sprayed in the shower stall | 21 Dec 2006 04:20 GMT | 14 |
I saw him do it. I think he meant for me to see. I think he's frustrated by not being able to spray outdoors like he used to, and at the same time he knows it's inappropriate to spray in the house. So he found a compromise. "I can spray in the shower stall because it doesn't hurt ...

| Vet Tech Journals: Imp's checkup | 20 Dec 2006 23:28 GMT | 18 |
Managed to grab Imp, my biggest kitty, and bring him into work with me today. He was silent and sullen the whole trip there and pouted in the cage. When i had a free moment i would go visit him and scritch his chin and he would purr a little.

| Cards will be late | 20 Dec 2006 12:25 GMT | 3 |
Due to various issues, none too serious by their own, but all together a bit overwhelming, I haven't managed to get the cards off this year, and doubt I'll manage it before the 24th. So please forgive me if you get a "Happy New Year" card instead.

| Theresa? | 20 Dec 2006 05:20 GMT | 1 |
I know we're all busy this time of year (well, except me. I'm off work and I've bought all my Yule presents <thumbing nose>) and Real Life can get in the way of posting and even reading sometimes, but sometimes the mother hen in me wakes up. It lifted its head just now and said,
