Bonnie gets the Bird07 Dec 2006 21:19 GMT9
I hate the sound of frenzied squawking, it means a bird is in deep trouble.
I rushed towards the outside door intent on rescue.   I was too late, Bonnie
bounded through the cat door with a bird spread across her face - I think
the idea was to bring it inside where it couldn't ...
Lentil feast07 Dec 2006 21:16 GMT21
Starting into my 2nd week of feeling to sick to eat, I actually got some
hunger pangs and opened a can of lentil soup and warmed it up. After a few
bites I couldn't keep eating. I put the bowl down for a minute and went to
another room. When I got back, Abelard was eating the ...
Sad Tale of Catfight Victim07 Dec 2006 21:12 GMT15
Deo, the cat next door came over this morning and had a terrible fight on
our patio with Clyde.   DH had his slippers on and was going to change into
shoes to go out and play snooker.    DH tried to put his slippered foot
between the fighters and Clyde repaid him by biting the ...
Update on Fraud07 Dec 2006 20:59 GMT9
In a way it was worse than we feared  but in another it was much
better. John got it sorted out. His card's been cancelled and he'll
get another one in the mail in a few weeks... but more importantly the
bank saw reason and unfroze our bank account and put the money back in
1 Week With Kramer07 Dec 2006 20:55 GMT4
Today it's been 1 week since we adopted Kramer. Things have gone very well. We
didn't separate him from the others, just brought him in and let him go. The
other furkids all had thier hissy fits the first day. It didn't take them long
to accept him. Sweetpea still is not fond of ...
Spotty the Rescue Cat Update!07 Dec 2006 20:54 GMT13
I got email from the founder of The House of Mews about Spotty the rescue
kitty!  I have the permission to post the update from the owners who seem to
be Danish.  They live in the U.S. in the Memphis area but their email
address is still .dk.  Spotty has won their hearts.  It's so ...
Pictures of BK07 Dec 2006 20:26 GMT11
Here are a few pictures of BK (Baby Kitten) practicing the housecat
lessons that Unca Buster has been teaching him. He's got the "playing
with cat toys" part, "submitting to the dominant female (Dulce Mae)"
part, and "purr really loud" part all down pat, but the "don't use
Urgent Roxie Purrs Please!07 Dec 2006 19:43 GMT1
Louie went home after dropping me off, and she was nowhere to be found. We
don't let our cats out and, OCD freak that I am, always check the breezeway
before actually opening that second door. He looked for 20 minutes before
running the risk of being late; when I made my lunchtime ...
Lizzie had her Yearly today...07 Dec 2006 04:50 GMT3
And Rosie got her booster shots.... and her butt shaved - a pre-emptive
strike to avoid nasty klingons :D
Also went to remove her spay stitches, but she's already done that job
herself!  We hadn't noticed as she's not the rub-my-belly type.

Boy cats are contrary creatures!06 Dec 2006 21:22 GMT14
Sandypaws brought them an extension for their kitty playhouse (we
bought the corner-shaped one and joined it together with the tower
they already had) and they adored it instantly... BUT it's been
sitting out in the livingroom next to the kitchen counter and it can't
It only took him 8 years to figure out06 Dec 2006 21:00 GMT13
Hurray, Vino has finally figured out how to puke up hairballs!  He had
done it once before, years and years ago, but since then he would just
do this wheezing cough all the time but swallow it all down in the end.
I always noticed a lot of hair in his poops when scooping the ...
Christmas cards are going to be very late :(06 Dec 2006 05:43 GMT18
I'm sorry... I've been dragging my feet about it and now we
(literally) don't have any money to mail them. Or rather, I have some
money in my purse but I can't spend it until I know for certain that
I'm not going to have to use it to put gas in John's car so he can go
