Overseas cards mailed...15 Dec 2006 07:51 GMT1
The overseas catslaves cards made it into the mailbox this morning so
they're on their way... I realise they'll probably get to their
destinations some time in January, but better late than never! I had
JUST enough stamps left in my drawer to get them all in the mail.
Newspaper corrections15 Dec 2006 06:29 GMT5
regrettheerror.com daily publishes the corrections and apologies of
newspapers around the world, and it's time for their year-end awards:

My Treasures [OT]15 Dec 2006 01:36 GMT14
I'm nothing if not resourceful. Thinking of possible ways to help pay the
dentist because in addition to what I've already paid for, I need one more
extraction plus either two gold crowns or one crown and one root canal, or
two extractions (three total) and a gold crown. In any ...
Ping Victor (or other Spanish-speaking members)15 Dec 2006 01:27 GMT18
I have to put a sign up in our break room at work asking the cleaning crew
(who speak no English) to not open the dish washer or turn off the
dishwasher switch.  Can you tell me if this is a fair translation (I used
the babelfish web site to get this)?

Cats and a candlelight dinner14 Dec 2006 21:24 GMT7
My MIL took the kids so that Fred and I could have dinner and go to a
concert last night.  Yeah!
I visited the cheese monger and got some gourmet cheese, crackers, and a
sour cherry lemon compote that was spectacular with the goat cheese.  Yum.

I made them wait while I went to get the camera and they weren't too happy
with me!
Paranoia strikes deep14 Dec 2006 20:29 GMT52
I've been participating on this ng since 1999, and yet I don't feel
that there is anyone here who likes me very much, or values my
contributions. I don't know why that would be, though - I'm a
genuine cat-lover, I respond to other people's posts, I have a good
Introducing #114 Dec 2006 17:13 GMT20
thought I better introduce ourselves as I seem to not be able to return to
lurk mode.
I live with DH and six cats in a very small town of about two hundred.  I
need to say up front that I don't always get things posted correctly due to
Headnoops14 Dec 2006 16:24 GMT2
In the last couple of weeks Snoopy has decided to sleep on my pillow, it's
funny hearing her purrs through the air and through the pillow, it's like
she's purring in surround sound. :-)
Cards are Away!!!14 Dec 2006 15:00 GMT1
Well, all holiday cards are mailed.  I don't know if the overseas ones
will arrive in time or not, but if not, my abject apologies.  RL has
been kicking my butt these days....
Oh yes, the cats insisted that I let everyone know that it was NOT
I'm Surrounded........14 Dec 2006 12:58 GMT19
Normally when i sleep, I'll have Mayhem curled up on one of my pillows
and Mischief curled up at the corner of the bed at my feet.
Well now IMP has decided that I'm not a scary human anymore and in
order to get pettins and scritchins he has to jump ON the bed.  So he's
Collapsed meatloaf14 Dec 2006 04:55 GMT5
Just now, Miranda was meatloafing on the desk beside the computer.
Suddenly, she fell over (I think she fell asleep). She immediately
righted herself again. Now her ears are clearly saying, 'I didn't mean
to do that but I hope you will *think* I meant to do it. And stop

What a haul!14 Dec 2006 03:30 GMT5
Today when I came home from work, there were seven cards waiting for me!
Next to sending out cards, receiving them is the most fun! I've had a
total of 14 now, and only one from a non-rpca person.
All scritches and cuddles sent to the cats have been duly distributed.
