Your card arrived today, not bad three days from another country. I was
wondering about the bird on the stamp, it looks like a waxwing to me. Do
they have any significance in Finland?

Hi Marina,
I was trolling through the New Scientist web site today and came
across this article on the cause of type 1 diabetes.  It sounds very
exciting - both in terms of preventing occurance in young children and
WAY OT: Just listen!16 Dec 2006 04:39 GMT2
Do you ever actually listen to the music that accompanies movies you watch?
Heh, I've been doing this for years but it wasn't until the first Star Trek
film came out in 1979 that I popped to movie music - Jerry Goldsmith.
Later, John Williams.

Excuse the typos. I have a lapful of purry Siamese. In the process of my

How the heck...?15 Dec 2006 23:31 GMT13
Madame Roxie turned out fine; we found her after the Great Disappearing Cat
scare, and she has decided she likes curling up in a turban; and she checked
out A1 when we took her for her physical last weekend.
We don't let our cats out. Period. So can someone tell me how my little
Nanki-Poo plays15 Dec 2006 22:24 GMT7
When Nanki-Poo plays, he does it very enthusiastically, with much galloping
and squealing.
A couple of days before Halloween, a real estate agent left his card, along
with a small (3-4 inch diameter) plastic pumpkin.  Inside the pumpkin was
Something weird, sorry15 Dec 2006 21:40 GMT1
Google is wacking out I guess. Some of my posts are appearing in
duplicate, as long as an hour after I posted the original one. Sorry.
Dang it, here's another one.........15 Dec 2006 20:24 GMT14
Well, hubby and I decided tonight we're taking on the fluffy one.  Wednesday
(tomorrow's my visit back up at Mayo for my cancer update) I'm making the
call to get her shots, fixed, tested, etc.
She's just too sweet.  We're suckers.  Sigh.
Jake is officially a brat15 Dec 2006 20:22 GMT15
So I'm not feeling well this morning.  After early morning duties I went
back to bed for several hours.  I finally drag myself out to the family room
close to noon as there are things I have to get done today or else.
I have to skip the coffee as my stomach just isn't up to it.  ...
I survived, but...15 Dec 2006 20:21 GMT37
.... they found another rotten tooth dammit :(((( and I'm now an additional
$420 in debt with at least another $thousand$ or so worth of repairs needed
to save three teeth that I'd lose otherwise. I hate losing teeth, would
rather be up to my eyeballs in debt than have to get any ...
Update on Rosie (guest cat #2/Black Cat #4)15 Dec 2006 20:18 GMT3
She's becoming much friendlier, but is getting pushy when it's feeding time.
She may already eating at a dish, but as soon as you put kibble in another
dish, she wants *that* kibble - I've taken to feeding her first, in the
bathroom & shutting her in, then feeding the rest.
what now? a lap cat!15 Dec 2006 20:12 GMT17
The kittens are now just over four years old and since Ted (RB) left
us, we have had no lap warmers; Spock likes to be admired from a
distance and Persephone will only settle if draped over my shoulder or
under the covers of our bed.
Request for purrs15 Dec 2006 18:48 GMT74
For me... I'll be losing some teeth shortly, from long neglect for want of
$, there is no saving them. On top of which I am deathly afraid of dentists!
Too many bad experiences and needless loss of teeth due to their
misjudgment.

I loved your card.  It came today.  You weren't kidding when you said
you had trouble with the labels.  Dave and Dot Gerecke's address was
below mine on the label.
