Job purrs if you have any spare...17 Dec 2006 20:53 GMT19
I had the job interview yesterday for a job I'd really like...public service
in the welfare-ish dept. and it's right up my alley...working with
disadvantaged/immigrants/unemployed to help them gain self sufficiency...all
training supplied!! It's so hard to go back to work after ...
Fudge has a heart murmur17 Dec 2006 20:29 GMT22
Fudge and Caramel went to the vet today for their annual vaccines and
checkup.  Whilst checking Fudge, the vet discovered that she has a
heart murmur.  She's never shown signs before (she's 8 and a half).
He has suggested that we take her for a blood test as it could be
Recipe time!17 Dec 2006 20:26 GMT3
AH! I think it is time for a troll-b-que. Anybody have any ideas for a
christmas/holiday meal? A friend of mine sent me his recipe for green
bean casserole, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I can't have
the "traditional" green bean casserole made w/cream of mushroom soup
Purrs for a Jury, please17 Dec 2006 20:25 GMT42
We have an animal cruelty case currently being tried in the Fulton County
court system in Georgia. I made the mistake of reading an article about it
today an can't get it out of my mind.  Would you all ask your masters to
send soothing purrs to the jury having to hear this case ...
Company for dinner17 Dec 2006 20:21 GMT23
So being the typical bachelor I eat dinner (and every other meal) sitting
on the couch watching TV.  The kitchen table?  Why that would be Zak's
pedestal (especially when my brief case is there to give him a few extra
inches of height).
OEJ odd cat od name17 Dec 2006 09:01 GMT5
OEJ = One Eyed Jacqueline.  She has both eyes, but when she was a kitten she
got an eye infection and was generally a very cranky sort to start with,
typical calico.  At the time we had a local radio host named One Eyed Jack.
He was also a generally cranky sort and also intensely ...

Tiger the nurotic17 Dec 2006 07:19 GMT20
As I said we live in a small town.  We often sit on our patio and drink
coffee and smoke a few cigarettes while discussing the world.  In late
spring DH noticed a large yellow cat who was obviously a male, and Knew he
was THE manliest cat around.  DH giggled as this mancat had on a ...

BEDMICE!!16 Dec 2006 22:34 GMT4
Hello Efurry one,
Nina speaking here. Last night after Meowmie went to bed and turned out
the lights, she called me for help.  Turned out she was in bed
surrounded by a feerce infustation of BedMice!  Of course, I came
Feeding Kramer16 Dec 2006 22:26 GMT10
I have been giving Kramer his kitten chow and then closing the door while he
eats so the other furbabies would not get it. He also gets the fancy feast in
the morning with the rest of the gang. I decided that being a kitten he should
have access to his food when he wants it, so I ...
Trudi the intruder16 Dec 2006 22:23 GMT10
So the other cats didn't like tiger much but we had hoped that TV and Tiger
would buddy up.  They were both so big and Violette preferred OEJ to play
with so when it didn't work out we were sad.  Then I got the bright idea of
getting another cat... So off to petsmart and the APL we ...
A few more cat pics16 Dec 2006 21:44 GMT17
Well, I took a couple of pics of the boys when they went outside for a sniff
this AM.  It was over 0 celcius but still they were chilly.  Otis, in
particular, fluffed out his fur to keep warm.  They both huddled down low to
conserve heat, sat on the mat for insulation, and both ...
Holly and Duffy take over16 Dec 2006 21:35 GMT6
Holly and Duffy have decided that I should *never* settle down to do any
work.  Holly always walks back-and-forth, back-and-forth across the
keyboard, almost from the moment I sit down in front of the computer.  Then
she will sit beside the keyboard and very gently reach out and ...
