At my sister's and niece's29 Nov 2006 12:06 GMT10
Nyah nyah nyah nyah to anyone who wanted an invitation to eat at my
niece's. I was invited to my sister's tonight and my niece had made a
lot of goodies, Karelian pirogi and a warm salad, and frozen yoghurt
(cranberry - she made it herself) and biscotti (that she'd baked

I was lying on the bed reading, Little Feet dozing next to me.
Suddenly, I feel the bed shake, as Dulce Mae jumps up on the bed. She
comes close enough to let me pet her and to tell her how pretty she
is.
Purrs Please - OT29 Nov 2006 00:38 GMT9
My original post didn't show up.  Anyway, there's something going on which I
don't want to go into detail about.  Suffice to say I was given some very
bad advice by two professionals allegedly qualified in their field (not
employed by the same place).  And the result is not good.
Coyotes at the back gate29 Nov 2006 00:13 GMT49
We're just over a month away from the shortest day of year here.  It gets
dark around 4:50 now and the sun rises at 7:50.  The shortest daylight day
is sunset at 4:31 and sunrise at 8:37.  So, its dark and cold in the park
and coyotes come right up the gates as early as supper ...

Even though Vino has been eating the science diet c/d for a few months
now and likes it just fine, I was noticing some signs of him getting
tired of it lately.  He was breaking up his 2 meals into many little
snacks and eating more kibble (also c/d) which is supposed to be

Today Waffles is doing her parrot impurrsonation. She is attached to my left
shoulder. I am having to do stuff around the place with a purring feline
attached to my shoulder ;-)
It Was TURKEY DAY!!!!28 Nov 2006 21:32 GMT4
Every holiday we buy the owners cans of 9-lives turkey and gravy to go with
the giblets and such that we cook for them from the bird.  This is a special
day for the owners.  The whole time the oven was on the cats were dancing
around the kitchen, mewing, and headbutting anyone ...
House purrs?28 Nov 2006 21:31 GMT6
my turn, again...(sigh)
We had some storm damage during the Recent Unpleasantness, and have been
negotiating with our mortgage provider to have a break, just two or three
months where we can apply our monthly payments to clean-up, repair or a
Eating Habits28 Nov 2006 21:14 GMT37
I don't know if I'm being ultra paranoid because of her recent
illness, or if there's still a problem.
Natasha isn't really eating again. Last week, a few days after I
brought her home from the emergency vet's she'd finally started to eat
Ziggy the cat's 17-day journey from Israel to UK28 Nov 2006 21:05 GMT11
Poor little kitty when through all this and now has to spend 6 months in
quarantine. Six months seems rather excessive to me.

I was not only glad to see this, but was very glad to see that this is
happening in my neck of the woods (I'm in Arlington, this is in Fort

We went to Dennis's niece's house for thanksgiving yesterday and her cat had
kittens about 8 weeks ago so you can just imagine how much fun we had playing
with the kittens. They were all so adorable. One especially stood out, he is
predominately white with black spots. He has a ...
Further kilikini Update! (plus get well card info)28 Nov 2006 15:00 GMT19
Just got off the phone with her husband who is back at the motel.  Christy
is doing much better than expected.  The staff plans to have her up and
walking around a bit a couple of times tomorrow.
For anyone who wanted to send her a card, he anticipates by the time a card
Katrina "Victims" Sell Free House (OT)28 Nov 2006 10:42 GMT36
This happened "in my own back yard" so to speak.  I saw the original news
story a week ago and now it's been picked up by The Associated Press and
other national media - this was published by the Chicago Sun-Times today.
No offense to Catnipped or anyone else whose family and ...
Purrs for kilikini28 Nov 2006 02:52 GMT58
Today is the day Christy (kilikini) she gets all her pre-op tests and
tomorrow she's scheduled for surgery.  She called the other day and she's
scared spitless.  (Who wouldn't be?)
She's going to be in for a long haul recovering from this massive surgery.
