WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?11 Nov 2006 20:08 GMT14
I know there is an invisible-to-humans sign on the house that cats are
welcome here, but  we don't have any more room!!!!  Some of the ones we have
are stressed now, due to the overpopulation in the house.
Yesterday, out in the backyard there was a sweet medium-haired black kitty. ...

Spock, as I've mentioned before, likes to do his strolling minstrel act
around the house - wandering around and yelling out every other step.
He does it once or twice most days and sometimes he does it most of the
day (driving my Mum *nuts*!).
Quiet Evening at Home11 Nov 2006 15:02 GMT2
It's Friday night and all is well and quiet.  Fireplace is lit.  All the
kids are accounted for and are somewhere else.  Just us old folk, the cats
and the dog.
Molly is tucked into one of her favorite kitty beds.  She looks a little
Absurd pet products.11 Nov 2006 11:37 GMT4
Just got home from PetCo.  Where they offered for sale deserts for dogs.
Little cans like the little cans of cat food in Carrot Cake or Apple Pie or
Berry Cobbler or another I don't remember.
Eighty cents a can or you can by a box of 24 cans (all one flavor)
Persia is Such a Sweetie11 Nov 2006 05:57 GMT1
I have a fireplace.  It's been raining so most of my firewood is wet.  But
Persia helped me pick out wood for my fireplace by giving it a Yay or Nay
meow as I brought the wood in to set on the hearth to dry.  When she says
"nay" she sort of huffs at it.
New term11 Nov 2006 05:57 GMT5
DD1 and I were in the bathroom last night getting her ready for bed.
Mithu wandered in to do his catly duties of never letting a person be
without a cat in the bathroom.  As he wandered over to inspect DD2, she
asked me "Can I purr him?"  I can only assume this means "to pet until
Hobo is back!!11 Nov 2006 05:01 GMT15
For the six weeks or so during which we worked desperately to keep
Speckles alive and comfortable, Hobo "disappeared" -- not physically
but "spiritually".  He gradually stopped coming into the living area
and began staying behind the toilet in either bathroom.  Weird place

I finally caught the submissive Tommy letting Eli give him a bath:

I bought a new throw for my bed to keep "me" warm this winter, and I'd
put it in the spare room while I changed the bed, Otis (naturally)
discovered it, and has added it to his portfolio of sleeping abodes.
As he wasn't been too chirpy recently I decided to let him sleep in
Some free syringes for someone with a diabetic cat.10 Nov 2006 21:57 GMT4
One of my co-workers had a small d*g who recently succumbed to diabetes related
complications :-(
She asked me if I could find someone who needs some new, sealed syringes for
insulin:
Thank you, Dante!10 Nov 2006 20:29 GMT10
You already know about Dante's fondness for moving small objects
around the house, and also for bringing some of those objects to my
attention.  This morning, when I awoke, I was in a typical, slightly
awkward position, lying on my stomach, with one arm stretched out
My Grey Cat is going Grey!!!10 Nov 2006 20:02 GMT7
Yep, she was doing upside downey head and with a turned up belly and the
area around her nether parts is not just grey anymore, it's white.  White as
in, if you're already grey your fur turns white. :(
Persia will be 8 or 9 (depending on the vets' best guesses from her teeth)
A Nyoo Nyoise10 Nov 2006 20:02 GMT2
This is a pipe cleaner week, thus far.  Dante dug out his red and
yellow pipe cleaners yesterday, and has been parading those around.
When I woke up this morning, they were in my bed. ;)
Anyway, Dante brought them underneath the computer desk and is busily

Spotsie's Zoomie10 Nov 2006 06:34 GMT2
Spotsie just finished her supper and charged off, running to one end
of the house and back again, and finally jumping to the top of the
china cabinet for a brisk wash.
