ESP with your pet?13 Nov 2006 04:06 GMT5
dozing this morning, I remembered a game I'd play with Max as he was
lying under the covers with his feet on my chest.  Without moving or
making any sound I'd think good thoughts about him, using his name
frequently, and like as not, he'd start purring or kneading me.    No

Spotty was ADOPTED!12 Nov 2006 21:03 GMT18
Remember the little kitty I took in and then (sadly) had to take to The
House of Mews?  I just got email from the founder, Elaine Harvey.  Spotty
had had a bout of diarrhea a week or so ago and was put on medication.  He's
well over that, she says, and he's been adopted!  He goes to ...
Finally, a vacation is coming!12 Nov 2006 20:52 GMT9
After both of us busting our humps for ridiculous hours for long months,
we're finally going to take a real vacation! We actually *are* going to
fly back to Wisconsin to see Nancy's family over Thanksgiving. I'm not
really crazy about the idea of flying (I haven't flown since well ...

You guys have to take a look at this. It just made me (midwesterner that I
am) laugh! Yeehaw! (pics of the package are further down the thread.)

Unca Buster11 Nov 2006 22:24 GMT4
Buster has a new job - training young BK kitty, who is one of the
ferals I feed.
Buster sits in the window and admires the view. When BK comes around,
Buster goes to the door and meows to be let out. When I open the door,
It's that time of year11 Nov 2006 21:41 GMT8
As we get into autumn and winter, it's that time of year when I know exactly
how cold it's been during the night. I wake up in the morning and look to
see how many cats are surrounding me on the bed. A three cat night means
it's *cold* Last night was a one-cat night. The cat on a ...
Purrs for Miss Lily Whiskers again please.....11 Nov 2006 21:38 GMT28
I swear that Miss Lily Whiskers is a walking disaster. We're off to the
ER vet in about 20 minutes because she has just done something stupid to
her back leg and she can't put any weight on it at all and it is
swelling up.
Smudge brought home a guest11 Nov 2006 21:31 GMT3
A couple of nights ago I heard Smudge outside the front door, making
all sorts of odd meowing sounds. I opened the door, but didn't see
her. So I stepped outside and peered around a small cabinet on the
porch, and found her in mid-stalk toward some prey I couldn't see,
worst summer for abandoneds11 Nov 2006 21:26 GMT3
Already before today I had seen three abandoned cats and a dog on my Old
Mine Rd biking route.  Today I chatted with a runner who lives nearby to
see if he had seen the ginger cat that I was hoping to escue; he hadn't
but told me of a white cat and a Siamese he'd seen yesterday near ...
WooToo Communicats Again11 Nov 2006 21:12 GMT6
I was sitting here typing. Some would call it writing but we'll see
when I am done. Wootoo was on the floor. She started yeeking. I had to
figure out what she needed. I went over the check list:
Her food dish was visibly full of her favorite goodies.
Purrs for Natasha11 Nov 2006 21:05 GMT63
Thanks to all who offered purrs and good thoughts to my mom for her
recent surgery (she's doing great!)
Now I ask purrs for my furry mistress, Natasha. I was away overnight,
and when I returned home this afternoon she had been sick, was
