Job number four18 Oct 2006 03:49 GMT10
Joyce recently welcomed me back.  I don't think I've really been away,
but I've been lurking more and posting less.
I had to get a fourth job.  As of three days ago I've taken on Job
Number 4. I'm managing a stockroom for a shop at the mall.

I saw the skinny long-haired kitty again!18 Oct 2006 00:52 GMT15
He/she was hunkered under the car next to where I park mine.  I called to
the kitty and it came out and let me pet it again briefly.  It's still skin
and bones.  But alas, it's too late at night for trapping since the shelter
is closed and I don't dare bring it inside even to lock ...
slightly [OT]: pimped out18 Oct 2006 00:18 GMT10
In a couple of hours, I sign the paperwork on a new job contract, so
the extended, unpaid vacation (3 months) ends on Tuesday the 17th.
I have to start working on the cats now, to let them know I'm going
back to work. Poor Senyah, will have to deal with the "Where's Mark?"

Caliban's new blankie17 Oct 2006 14:21 GMT11
On Sunday, my sister and our mum were coming over for a small supper to
celebrate my sister's and my birthdays (mine on the 14th, my sister's
the 15th). I put a table cloth on my dinner table instead of the wax
cloth that is usually there.
Re:my 10/16 indoor-outdoor post17 Oct 2006 14:08 GMT3
Golly gee, don't often start such a reply chain:) I guess I misspoke;
I wasn't considering barn or feral cats. Maybe indoor vs
indoor-outdoor is what I meant.

Nina is Giving Me "The Ear"17 Oct 2006 05:37 GMT10
I don't know what I did.
But lately, it seems Nina thinks of me as a troll with an  unsightly
skin affliction. Maybe because I took "her" jacket away the other day.
Her Highness is evidently mortally offended.
Baha - Singh Purr Request17 Oct 2006 05:36 GMT12
As Baha has written at least once on the kitty board, she lives in the
area of Buffalo, NY, USA.
Thursday some time it started snowing. By some time Friday The
Thirteenth, 2006, the city had 23 inches of wet snow. The wet snow
A rare photo - Laku and Nico together17 Oct 2006 05:35 GMT9
Had just snapped a photo of a pretty sunset from my balcony, when I
noticed Laku and Nico on the same blanket in the same corner of the
sofa, snoozing together. I sure hope Laku would learn to tolerate Nico
better, and if that is any sign of it, there's still hope.
Purrs and Healing Vibes to all who need them17 Oct 2006 02:38 GMT3
Dear group,
I'm sorry I've been away lately. I've had so much going on lately with my
own health and of course with Mia's health too.
I've tried to read some of your messages, spent an hour, and still have
quit a traveling cat?17 Oct 2006 01:41 GMT3
When I put Bert in the (roomy) carrier, then  in the car, it's one
constant meow til he's unloaded. Well maybe not costant - he does seem
to forget and shut up occasionally. I've had this with prior cats, so
maybe it's natural - but why?

Mmmm... 3 star Pot Roast16 Oct 2006 13:11 GMT1
You can guess who the three stars are, so perhaps it wasn't a very critical
panel. I put Cali's third (small) serving in her bowl, but she was facing
the wrong way in the hammock. So she just murred at me, 'I'm too lazy to
turn around'. I had to turn the Queen around so she could ...
