Just Heard From Kilikini28 Oct 2006 20:23 GMT34
Christy just called me.  Not only does she have fribramtosis but she also
has hemochromatosis.  Her body can't absorb iron.  So her liver is failing.
All those years when her parents told her "eat your spinach" she ate it (and
loved it) she was essentially killing herself.  Finding ...

Such a mean daddy28 Oct 2006 20:14 GMT7
Baggy has just been for his annual TED visit, he's in perfect health but he
gets really upset when travelling. I hate hearing him meow so pitifully I'm
glad it's only once a year.
Rescue Story28 Oct 2006 20:12 GMT7
This story was in our local paper this weekend. The paper doesn't have it
online, but the organization scanned it and posted it up - it's not
entirely clear, but readable.

Sam Update and Photos 10-2128 Oct 2006 20:04 GMT31
Sam is continuing to recover nicely.  As several of you mentioned, he was
more subdued yesterday and today although he has moments of zoomies when
he'll play with a mousie or run through the house.  For the most part,
though he would rather sleep in a lap or on the electric ...
Cat cartoon28 Oct 2006 20:00 GMT4
Sunday's "Cantharis" cartoon struck me as seriously funny:

I'm not sure if this cat is the main one (Aya) or just J. Random Cat.
Heading back to Mayo Clinic28 Oct 2006 19:58 GMT17
I'll be gone for a few days while I undergo further testing at the Mayo
Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.  Purrs on the way to anyone who needs them.  (My
Miss Pua is on my lap and wants everyone to know that she's here for you all
as well.  <g>)
Purr request28 Oct 2006 19:33 GMT20
My 94-year-old mother appears to be on the verge of crossing the Rainbow
Bridge.  I know she will be greeted by many dogs she has loved, as well as a
goat.  In the meantime, I'd like purrs for a painless, peaceful crossing.

I had to delete my bellsouth newsgroup account and set it back up.  Now I
can't find a.b.p.a. to add to my list of subscribed newsgroups because I
can't find the dang thing in the list!  What's the full name of it again?

Memphis Manatee (OT)28 Oct 2006 04:00 GMT3
An approximately 800 lb. manatee made its way over 700 miles up from the
Mississippi Gulf Coast earlier this week and was spotted by a couple of
fishermen.  Rescue attempts have been underway since Tuesday.  The resumed
attempts this morning were hampered by poor weather conditions. ...

Haven't heard from you in awhile, just wanted to check in with you. I know,
I should pick up the phone. Really wanted to ask you if you've ever eaten at
City Barbeque. Is it any good? Would you recommend it to a friend of mine
looking for a good place to eat with friends in ...
neighborhood pettiquette27 Oct 2006 13:48 GMT7
Hi all! I've been a lurker for a few months, so I might as well
introduce myself! I am owned and operated by two little furballs.
They're each a year and a half old and are littermates.  Elfie-Welfie
is a girly gray tabby and Panguitch is a manly orange tabby.
