Ways to torture a cat - method 308 Sep 2006 17:49 GMT2
3 -- Wiskers (heh, heh, heh)....Ok, you know who you are people, you
kind that clips cat's wiskers and laughs like hell. Cat's use wiskers

Purring question08 Sep 2006 16:38 GMT17
Both of my cats purred loudly when they were kittens (I got each of them
at about 4 months) but now they purr silently.  Is that a pattern?  Am I
never again to wake to the sound of Doc purring right into my ear?

job news08 Sep 2006 00:09 GMT24
Well folks and kitties, the job purrs you sent for my interview last
week seem to have done the trick. They rang me today to offer me the
job. I'm surprised and a little scared (let's face it, terrified is more

Tonight's low temp. could go below 60°. Our months-long heat wave is
officially over. Cats and people alike are rejoicing in SW Missouri today.

rebel, left telltale signs all over the carpets (it's always the
carpets!) that all was not well with her tummy. As I cleaned up after

What is it with cats and tummies?
I was lying on the bed, trying to read, when Little Boy jumped up on
the bed. He slowly walks in my direction. He comes within two feet of
me, then suddenly, he leaps on my stomach. He *could* have sedately

Cats get the joke (LONGISH)06 Sep 2006 22:51 GMT6
In the September 5th New York Times, James Gorman writes that "dogs may
laugh, but only cats get the joke". The article reads:
"The last time I wrote about cats and humour was 20 years ago. It did
not turn out well. I was happy with the column, which appeared in a
Anybody's cat do this?06 Sep 2006 13:17 GMT12
My male cat, Jake, has gotten into the habit of pooping right outside
the litterbox.  He pees in the box, but does his other business right
in front of the box.
I figure it's not a medical issue since he does use the box.
Mabel's story (long)06 Sep 2006 11:53 GMT15
Mabel was one of my breeding Queens, she came to me at 10 weeks old, a
lovely little blue tortie.
When she was pregnant with her first litter I was selling two kittens from
another litter to a couple who lived 15 minutes away from me, they came out
