Betty's little absence11 Sep 2006 20:04 GMT69
I'm finding it hard to get used to Betty being gone.  Even now, as I'm
writing this.  Right now, she should be on my lap, or patting my
thigh, kneading a blanket, pawing at her cat dancer, *something*.  But
there's nothing.  There's an empty cat bed, an empty food dish, an

Vet Tech Journals: Not one, but TWO job offers....11 Sep 2006 14:31 GMT33
Yep, as of Friday evening I now have TWO job offers from different
clinics.  Both pay quite well and seem like good places.  So i'm making
a list of pros and cons of both places.  I told both places that I
would sleep on it over the weekend and let them know on monday.

Last night I came in from work and to the Fabulous Furballs this means
just one thing- FOOD! The pair of them can go from comatose to high
speed in a nanosecond through they'll never come close to Fugazi (RB)
who was known to be able to run for the kitchen and commence eating and

You know you spend too much time on rpca when.....11 Sep 2006 01:04 GMT34
Obviously the above statement is a complete lie as you can NEVER spend
too much time on rpca but having been gulity of everyone of the things
below I guess it's worth sharing
1. When you ask your partner what he wants for dinner and he says "I
Left or Right Pawed?11 Sep 2006 00:42 GMT3
Mrs Cat will sometimes take food out of her bowl (or off people plates,
after they're "empty") using her front right paw, so I'd assumed she wasn't
a "south-paw" :-)
However, yesterday I saw her opening a door with her left paw. That makes
Vet Tech Journals: Sent in the application10 Sep 2006 23:40 GMT4
Well it's done.  Filled out the RVT application for the State of
California and sent it on its way.
I also filled out the necessary paperwork for Pierce to send them my
transcripts too.  All I can do is wait.
Coming clean...10 Sep 2006 22:34 GMT81
Well, I want to broach a topic with you all. In my time offline I had some
time to think about things, and the reason I started usenetting was to enjoy
talking to like minded people without a lot of the superficial judging that
is attached to real life. I am not naiive enough to ...
Another request for come-home purrs10 Sep 2006 21:58 GMT12
I haven't seen Nanki-Poo for about 24 hours.  He often disappears for hours
at a time, but not for this long.
I'm feeling extra bad about this for two reasons.  About 1:40 this morning I
heard a sound - or maybe I dreamed it.  I can't remember what it sounded

purr request10 Sep 2006 21:41 GMT22
Get well purrs are requested for my boycat Andy. He has been vomiting
for a few hours - before I got home from work. Plus after I got home he
vomited two more times. Plus he passed up his dinner of gushy food so I
know he is not feeling well. I did notice a small hairball which ...
Interview purrs please10 Sep 2006 21:11 GMT24
I have an interview tomorrow, at a company that looks like a very nice
place to work. So far, they seem very interested.
Can I get some purrs that I get a job offer (with accompanying good
salary) tomorrow?
Hi all10 Sep 2006 21:02 GMT13
Hello....disappeared there for a while didn't I? Financial hassles etc etc
but now we're back online, DH has a new job and we still have all our cats
(snigger). DH is now converted....he found homes for some of the boys, then
got all sentimental and said he'd miss them, so ...
Funny quote (ping Marina and Christine)10 Sep 2006 13:22 GMT1
I just saw the following quote on a website, and I thought you folks,
especially Marina and Christine, might enjoy it:
"I always thought that Finnish was the sort of language people would
come up with when they had 150 days of winter with 18 hour nights and
