The rare and elusive Headnox has been caught during a post-surgery-call
nap period.

And there are even rarer species variants, such as this plump

Mayhem never gets enough27 Aug 2006 05:52 GMT9
As soon as I wake up, use the facilities and go back to bed, "Meow Meow
Meow Meow!!"
I roll over, "Meow Meow Meow Meow!!" I have to hide my hands under the
covers cause she has started to nip them.  Five minutes later I have to
Update on Young Sam27 Aug 2006 05:50 GMT8
Sam's had the big snip, and it seemed to go uneventfully except for a lot
of difficulty getting him back into the cage to go home. I should have
warned them. He *really* doesn't like getting into cat carriers! I've
managed to put him in backwards, so he can't spread out his front ...
An upside down world27 Aug 2006 04:52 GMT6
*Chester* has now jumped up onto the roof and *meowed* incessantly to be let
in on no fewer than two separate occasions.  *Chester* ran Otis off the bed
lastnight (for a time anyway).  *Otis* allowed the 9 year old next door to
pick him up and carry him around.  Things just ...
Update 2: KFC27 Aug 2006 03:15 GMT11
KFC is doing really well.  She has already learnt that she gets her meal in
the bedroom just for herself (without Boyfie) and she puts herself on the
spare bed and says "prrrrt"  Like:  gimme my nice renal food here NOW even
with auntibios in.
watch out!27 Aug 2006 03:05 GMT33
http://www.theolympian.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060821/NEWS/608210327
This article is all about a pack of killer raccoons in Olympia, WA.
They're killing innocent cats. I thought this might be  important for
anyone living in that area or anyone with an outdoor cat in an area
You walk into the room......27 Aug 2006 00:34 GMT3
....and I'm lying there with my eyes half closed.
I feel your presence and I can almost see you eying me up and down.
I try to ignore you, and try to fight the urge within me to turn my
smoldering eyes onto you.
Home again26 Aug 2006 21:11 GMT6
It took us three days to drive from the S. Carolina Coast to Corpus Christi,
Texas.  We have a rental minivan with an awesome air conditioning system.
Rosie and Cinder rode in roomy hard-sided travel crates.
They certainly like boating better than traveling by car.  Cinder ...
Lacey is sooo sick26 Aug 2006 10:55 GMT48
My Lacey-Bug has a such a bad head cold and she is so miserable.  She can't
breath through her nose and today she began making a little puffhh noise as
she breathed out through her mouth. It sounded like she was pushing her
breath out of her lungs and she'd begun to drool.  So of ...
Ebenezer and Snooch meet Cthulhu26 Aug 2006 10:35 GMT25
Since anything to do with cats is officially on-topic in this group,
and Cthulhu is also (somewhat) on-topic, take a look at the sequence
of web cartoons starting with http://www.twolumps.net/d/20060814.html.
Patio Cleanup Finally Done!26 Aug 2006 10:34 GMT2
A while back I posted about reclaiming my fenced-in patio so Persia and I
could enjoy sitting outside again.  The apartment manager sent someone over
earlier this week, unbeknownst to me.  I walked out to get the mail and WOW!
All the evil monkey grass is gone!  So are the shrubs, ...
Another Lacey Question26 Aug 2006 05:25 GMT9
I'm sorry to be so needy lately, but well...I feel like I'm over my head
here and the stress from DH doesn't help. For several hours all I've heard
is "take her to the vet, you have to take her to the vet...she has
pneumonia, she's going to die..take her in the morning and leave ...
using bathroom on carpet26 Aug 2006 04:07 GMT6
I have two older cats and one of my cats refuse now to use the litter box. We
have recently moved and for a while she was sharing the litter box, but
suddenly quit and using the bathroom every where on the carpet. We give both
very much TLC. We believe our other cat is not letting ...
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW26 Aug 2006 02:46 GMT17
I'm sitting at the computer, which is in a wooden armoire in our study.
I have my right foot on the edge of the wood, so that my heel is kinda
hanging in the air. I feel whiskers and a paw with claws. I look down
and see Rufous pawing my heel. I say "silly Rufous, that's just my
