Thank you all for the purrs and prayers for my mom, and the ones for
me and my family.  I have been catching up on my rest - the boss gave
me heck for showing up at work today, and he gave me a couple of days
off to recover.  My DH's company also gave him a couple days off.

I have a hanging mousie on an elastic string that attaches to one of my
door frames.  Imp and Mischief batted it at first but now ignore it
but Mayhem LOVES it.  She'll just be walking by and it will brush her
side so she'll immediately attack it to show it who's boss.

In Massachusetts and other states drugs -   presciption  or OTC - are
supposed to expire in a year. Same with pet shots.
But for how long are cat shots - rabies, leukemia,, and the other(?)
lasting in fact?

A friend of mine from university, Eeva, moved to Toronto last year with
her DH's job. Here in Finland, her 19-yo cat had recently been put to
sleep for various medical reasons. Eeva waited until they had found a
house, settled in, and spent this summer here in Finland, and last ...

The younger generations of our next door neighbors went to the auction to
shop this morning.  And found something so cute and so bedraggled and so
pathetic looking that they just had to bring it home.  (And for the record
we live inside the city limits.)

Good news! The lump behind Kasper's ear was benign. They took out the
stitches today, the incision has healed nicely and he got rid of the
collar, too, so I guess he's a pretty happy lad today.

I just came from an auction here in town where I bought a comfortable and
not bad-looking sofa for only $20!  I think the reason it went for so little
was they left it until the very end, by which time most of the other buyers
had either already left or had spent their money on ...

Ok, ok, I never bother.  But eventually you have to!
