Medical update03 Aug 2006 18:08 GMT37
Well, I finally got my hospital appointment about my hernia today.
Very nice doctor.  Shook my hand when he came in and explained everything.
After he'd examined me he said the defect in my muscle wall was quite large
(as big as an orange) and that an incisional hernia was quite a ...
Bitty rap group (crude warning)03 Aug 2006 18:02 GMT7
I've never posted Kumani and Tyche's favourite spiel here, but Tak's
kitty-song thread makes me want to.  I'm going to star out the
profanity, but be warned, there's some crude content in here.
Kumani:  Mom, MomDad, we're releasing a record album.
Purrs for a successful integration03 Aug 2006 15:57 GMT8
A while back I posted the story of Smirnoff the impostor and her
kittens.
As I mentioned one of them was going to a guy called Bill. I admit to
being a bit worried as Bill had never had a cat before let alone a
Sighted Sabrina; rescued same!03 Aug 2006 14:45 GMT34
You may remember me mentioning Sabrina a while back; this jerk of my and
Louie's acquaintance put her out, just bored with having a cat, and
she'd holed herself up in a nearby vacant building.
She's home now. Our home. We have a new little girl, the poor thing.

I am still fiddling around with servers, posting on Aioe server and then
reading the posts on alt.free.newsservers (I can't post on alt.free)   I
have had a go at news.motzarella.org  but am having problems deciphering the
language.   Hope this posts on aioe as a few more ...
I'm back03 Aug 2006 09:13 GMT13
I've been spending quality time with my dad.  His flight arrived last
Thursday at 2:30pm, and left this morning (Weds) at 6:30am *groan*.
In that short time, we managed 4 hikes and one day exploring a
historic town, so one event per full day.  My dad is from flatland (9'
Harness Training03 Aug 2006 07:06 GMT16
On my birthday i was at the mall and there was a SPCA store.  I stopped
and bought a really cute shirt which reads "Smitten with my
Kitten"......and a tiny harness
The harness is for Mischief, who every nice cries to be let out.  The

Hi guys, I just got back from a few (hot) days in the DC area, so I
first want to send purrs out to all the masters and slaves and others
who need them.
My train (which *originated* in DC, BTW) was TWO HOURS late.  It was
36 hours in heaven03 Aug 2006 03:51 GMT14
At least close by anyway.  Thursday night I looked at Weather Bug and it
was predicting 117 for local temperatures on Saturday.  And it was
predicting the sort of rain on Friday that never quite hits the ground
because it is so hot out.  Now 117F in quite bad enough thank you ...
Trip purrs03 Aug 2006 03:39 GMT7
I'm going to my mom's on Wednesday for her 80th birthday on Thursday
and will be back Sunday night. Some good wishes for a safe trip (10
hours each way) and healthy pets (new pet sitter, first time leaving

EGADS!!! ANOTHER ONE!!!!!03 Aug 2006 02:54 GMT15
This morning, bleary eyed and still in my jammies (baggy shorts & T-shirt
that not-fit-for-wear-in-public), I take some seed out to the bird feeders
(instead of filling them completely, and letting it all go to the squirrels,
I do like my Mom, and only put about a cup in each ...
Three Reasons To Own A Cat Instead Of A Dog - www.CatNews.org03 Aug 2006 02:42 GMT6
Over the past 25 years that I have been a cat owner I have narrowed
down the many reasons for having a cat as a companion to three main
reasons.
When I am trying to convince dog owners on the advantages of owning a
Kitty videos02 Aug 2006 22:24 GMT4
I uploaded some new videos to my dropshots album... the girls playing
with their new cat-teaser (they adore it and it even gets Scouty
leaping and twirling in the air!), and Tessie helping me with their
kitty playhouse... and latest, Tessie playing with a vitamin C bottle
Remembering Samantha (RB)02 Aug 2006 22:23 GMT7
My brother has always been a dog-guy, but the elderly cat he inherited
from our grandmother really stole his heart. When Samantha had to journey
to the Bridge 2 years ago, he was devastated.
Tonight I'm joining him at his place for the 2nd annual Samantha Memorial

You can see how very dry everything was. They still haven't had any rain
there.
