Sabrina's progress07 Aug 2006 03:04 GMT12
She's gotten a little plumper, thank God. She's been eating like a truck
driver after a long haul, but then she's been through one.
Sabrina still will not relinquish my wool; I don't know why I'm
mentioning it, and why I even bother to call it my wool. She hissed at
Vet Tech Journals: 48 hours of craziness07 Aug 2006 02:43 GMT7
It is now 1:38 am PST on Sunday morning.  I just got off from work and
I'm currently soaking my feet.  Though i've been on the wagon for the
and have tried to diet the last two weeks, i have a very large beer
and Taco bell at my side.
The integration begins!06 Aug 2006 22:35 GMT5
Sabrina's mostly been lying around in Louie's clothing, or guarding her
wool pieces. There's been some mild, PG-13 language, but so far so good.
Her siblings are quite polite about it; no one even cussed back when
Sabrina hissed.

If you're a cat lover, listen up, as this special insight into cat
behavior may surprise you.
Do you seek your cat's affection quite lovingly? Well, let's face it,
Been too hot06 Aug 2006 20:18 GMT4
Unfortunately, the 'puter is in the hottest room in the apartment, so
I have missed a few days of posts, and can't get caught up!  So purrs
to everyone who needs them, congratulations to everyone who deserves
them, hugs to everyone who needs them, and I hope we are all a lot

Successful paw soak!06 Aug 2006 19:15 GMT14
We swirled some salt into a small bowl of warm water as per TED's
instructions.  DH and I both held Oscar; I focused on holding her body
in place while DH focused on holding her paw in the water.  She didn't
struggle, but she was purring, I think in the "I really don't like
A Feline Summer Ballad06 Aug 2006 18:51 GMT7
My four boy cats got together and wrote a song for all the hot boy cats out
there. I only wish you could hear the tune that goes with the lyrics, it's
quite catchy...

Leading Jill Outside the Box06 Aug 2006 06:00 GMT74
Jill,
I keep thinking we need to find you a way to make money that doesn't involve
interviewing with someone who will tell you no.  That means thinking outside
the box.
back from TED's06 Aug 2006 04:19 GMT28
TED says Oscar's paw is probably going through another phase of
trying to work out fiberglass.  She said it can take years for that
kind of thing to fully work its way out.  So, in the meantime, we just
need to put a collar on her when she starts nibbling at it.  If it
Doggy dictation (BW)06 Aug 2006 03:45 GMT8
A friend of mine has a little dog with a high-pitched bark. This dog
gets excited easily, and since she and her human live in an apartment
building, where people (and dogs) are always coming and going, she
has many opportunities to get excited and make a lot of high-pitched
My posts haven't been showing up!06 Aug 2006 00:10 GMT9
I've sent purrs out, I've mourned for the dear losses of our group and
nothing has shown up for 2 days.
I just noticed that some posts may be showing up from early this morning,
just 6 to7 hours later, so hopefully the problem is being fixed.
Not third time lucky05 Aug 2006 22:22 GMT10
Well thanks for purring for me to get the job I went for on Monday...I
just got an email to tell me I didn't get it...
Oh well I've applied for 2 other jobs at that place. If I have to bore
the interviewer to death before she surrenders then I will!
Sort of OT:  How I'm spending my birthday05 Aug 2006 21:26 GMT170
I have a number of things on my agenda but first and foremost is snuggling
with Persia at every opportunity :D
The next thing is cooking. (woo hoo!)  I hit the farmer's market a week ago
and bought more stuff than I really needed.  I have to start using up some
She's gone - RIP Cleo05 Aug 2006 16:44 GMT40
Cleo went into a coma last night, we made her comfortable, gave her
cuddles, talked to her telling her it was OK to go.
Been a very emotional time, she has been my DH constant companion for
15 of her 17 years, she came into my nearly 5 years ago.
