First Four Daffodils09 Aug 2006 10:36 GMT2
Bonnie and Clyde spent a time sniffing the daffodils this morning.    It's
been a long, cold, wet winter but spring is in the air.   Officially spring
starts in New Zealand on 1st September but we won't be here to see it.   We
leave on a cruise on 25th August and will sail from ...
Kitty FC's breakfast09 Aug 2006 04:53 GMT3
She refused her breakfast today and I was a bit concerned until I noticed
that Boyfie was guarding a dead mouse that he had just caught.  Well, that's
what she wanted for her breakfast of course so I quickly gave Boyfie some
crunchies in his bowl and he left the mousie.  Which ...

Brandy came in for a little visit, now that we've allowed for a little
opening-up and movement. So far so good; Sabrina still spouts off
impolite words, but no attempts have been made to rush at anyone. Brandy
left as nonchalantly as she came in. Stosh also visited, and again

I read about a lady who used this on her cats hot spots and that they
cleared up almost over night. THinking of Shadow I thought you might be

Anyone heard from him?  Hope he's doing okay.

Alienation of Affection08 Aug 2006 21:32 GMT2
I've mentioned before that Molly is very seldom affectionate with us.  I
think she has maybe jumped up on my lap twice.  Don't know if she has ever
jumped up on Charlie.  And he is the ultimate cat whisperer.
Last night my oldest, Vicki stopped by for a visit.  Now our cats have
A little sequence in pics08 Aug 2006 05:22 GMT5
I took these a while back (my walls were still blue, so it was at
least a couple of months ago!)
The captions tell the story.  lol

Night Moves [BW?]07 Aug 2006 19:35 GMT10
Shmogg's sleeping location on my bed had been found through years of trial
and error, and now its a ritual every night. After yelling for food for
about an hour, he gets fed at 10:30pm every night (regardless of how much
begging, cajoling, wining, whimpering, doing the cute, ...
Late night wash07 Aug 2006 19:33 GMT5
I'm having trouble sleeping tonight, so I go into the living room
with my Treo and read for awhile.
Little Boy jumps up on the couch, settles in on my chest and left
shoulder, and starts grooming my beard.
Book Review: Scratch The Surface07 Aug 2006 17:01 GMT4
Susan Conant has been known for her "dog  lover" mysteries for some time
now.  Although I'm not a big d*g fan, I like her writing and find the world
of dog shows that she uses as a back drop for some of her work fascinating.
Susan is apparently branching out, as she has written a ...
What would *you* do?07 Aug 2006 16:29 GMT24
All of the old driving instructions that I remember said that if
you came across a mattress on the road to drive over it. Or am I
remembering wrong?  Today is the second time I've seen this - a
vehicle on the side of the road with a mattress wedged between the
Beautiful Eyes!07 Aug 2006 14:18 GMT10
I really wish I could get a good, close-up photo of Persia's eyes.  She's
frequently lounging right next to me on the sofa as I read, or leaning up on
the sofa to tap my face (usually my nose!) if she wants something (food off
her "schedule").  Her eyes are truly gorgeous.  There is ...
Interior decoration revisited07 Aug 2006 03:37 GMT9
Some of you may remember Miranda's insistence that the blankie I had in
her carrier was not supposed to be there, but in the shower stall. Every
day, I would fold it and put it in her carrier, but would later find it
in my shower stall. Sometimes I would catch her dragging it ...
Cleo07 Aug 2006 03:29 GMT11
Thanks to all who have sent us condolences, it is very much appreciated by
both of us. It has been a very emotional week, one which I don't wish to
repeat in a hurry. This morning we buried Cleo in our back garden, she was
wrapped in her favourite sheepskin rug and her special ...
