My poor little survivor13 Aug 2006 01:29 GMT26
Almost four weeks ago our doggy, Sandy, was euthanized.  Two weeks
later our snake, Li'l Critter, died.  Yesterday we took our kitty,
Speckles, to the vet as she hadn't eaten well for a couple of days.
After sonograms, blood tests, etc., the news was that her kidneys were
Hail all hail!13 Aug 2006 00:08 GMT2
We have just had a whopper of a hail storm -- hail starting small then
getting to be like marbles.  This was followed by torrential rain.  The
gardens are flooded and the sidewalks are like rivers.   The thunder and
lightning have returned with more rain.  In the 44 years I have ...

Don't know what to purr for12 Aug 2006 06:30 GMT8
We are now down to just Momma cat living outside.  She hides most of the
time.  But seems to know that early evening in dinner time.  She shows up at
the food and water bowls then.  Either she is looking a little better or I'm
getting used to how she looks.  She is very dark, but ...

My bed buddy12 Aug 2006 00:46 GMT14
Vino's definitely gotten way, way more affectionate since his health
scare last month.  Not only is he a lap fungus every single night on the
couch now, he is also a total bed buddy.
The bed thing might have something to do with him being cold, but I
My cat dream11 Aug 2006 22:27 GMT25
Last night I dreamt that it was my job to go around finding feral cat
colonies so they could be spayed/neutered and put back.  I found a small
colony - and I can still see them in my mind.  There were some adults,
tabby, ginger and black and white and a lot of kittens.
Poor starving visitor kitty11 Aug 2006 21:43 GMT13
I've mentioned before about how we feed some neighborhood strays in
addition to our own indoor crew. Shorty and Calicat have been regular
visitors, with Calicat dropping by every morning and evening for food and
pets. For the last month or so we've been seeing a new visitor - a ...
newsflash - Scouty was IN MY LAP!11 Aug 2006 21:41 GMT9
Scouty just came and climbed onto my lap ALL BY HERSELF! She's never
done that before in all her born days - she hates being picked up and
handled and she's afraid of getting too close... the last few days
she's been pretty attention-hungry and pacing back and forth in front
Integration purrs UPDATE11 Aug 2006 21:36 GMT15
The purrs have worked their magic for little Molly!
Apparently when she arrived at Jim's she bolted under the bed and
refused to come out so when Jim went out the next morning, he made sure
she had food, water and clean litter and left her locked in the
