R.I.P. baby boy, R.I.P. ...15 Jul 2006 23:01 GMT36
I awoke yesterday to the sounds of my Oreo (a.k.a. "Baby Boy")having a
seizure ... I leaped up and laid next to him, talking to him and
petting him, trying to calm him down. He settled down after a minute
but didn't come out of it ...  Called the vet who is three minutes away
I'm a horrible cat mommy15 Jul 2006 22:54 GMT20
I feel absolutely terrible.  And it's all my fault.
Wolfie is a very long-haired white cat. Unfortunately, he is not good
at grooming himself, and he hates being groomed by me. He can take
about a minute of it, before he bites me and that's it.  And with
He's happy to be home15 Jul 2006 22:52 GMT18
Although he didn't eat anything last night and gagged when we offered
him a piece of ham, he did seem very happy to be home.  He slept between
Dennis and me on the bed all night long and spent much of the time
purring.
Enough with the b*stard cat tricks15 Jul 2006 20:32 GMT10
Mischief has been missing for about 6 hours now, ever since i put the
harness on her today.
She can't get out of the apartment, but there must be a new hiding
place that i haven't checked.  I've been looking everywhere and can't
PING Winnie/Rusty15 Jul 2006 20:08 GMT1
Winnie,
You mentioned a while back that Clomicalm helped Rusty's inappropriate
peeing/pooping problems. Does he still take it? Any negative side effects?
What does it cost?
Weeble Twin Powers!!!!15 Jul 2006 18:16 GMT4
Betty is getting large enough now that, at times, I have to double check to
see if it is Weeble, or Betty, who I'm petting/looking at, etc., etc.
Yesterday, DH was taking ears of feed cord out for the squirrels (we have a
windmill like thing on one of our trees, each 'arm' takes ...
Molly Really Suprised Me15 Jul 2006 16:10 GMT6
I thought I decided a long time ago not to ever be too surprised by any cats
behavior.  I know that especially as a species and even as individuals they
are contradictory.  But Molly did something this afternoon that really took
me (and Riley) by surprise.
WTF, Mommy?!15 Jul 2006 09:00 GMT10
One thing I've always loved about having cats around is how when I get
involved in doing something, almost anything, they come around and
watch me like I've lost my mind.  Exercising, studying, working,
whatever.
I don't know what to do about my poor Shamrock15 Jul 2006 02:06 GMT27
*sigh* He's got an appt with TED tomorrow again. Since we've tried
everything the dermatologist could try, we're back to just Depo
shots. Though I'm tempted to start him back on allergy shots because
while they didn't eliminate the flare-ups, they did seem to cut back
Fez and Rufous Excellent Adventure15 Jul 2006 00:07 GMT15
Well, not really excellent if you ask them, but quite good if you ask
me. :) Fez and Rufous went to TED for their annual check up yesterday
and both got a clean bill of health. Unlike their siblings that have
gone to TED so far this summer, these guys were mute the entire drive.
Ping:  Joy14 Jul 2006 19:48 GMT1
I haven't been posting for many moons and am trying to catch up a
little.  I wanted to ask if you've had any word from BlueBird lately.
I think of her a lot and hope she's doing better.  Thanks.

Got the Sherpa bag from Petsmart online14 Jul 2006 16:12 GMT9
The red isn't as painfully bright as it looks online; in fact, it
looks pretty nice.
I like everything about it so far.  Oscar even poked her head into it
briefly already.  Kind of amazing, as it smells strongly of plastic
cat worming question14 Jul 2006 13:28 GMT4
I gave all the cats their Drontal tabs today and a few minutes after getting
his pill Abelard barfed. I found the pill in the vomit, it had not
dissolved, so I gave it to him again. This time he waited a couple of hours
then barfed again and I saw no sign of the pill in the vomit ...
Very OT for those interesting day 2 of our "migration"13 Jul 2006 22:55 GMT6
So another floor in our 7 story building had their switch changed
over to the new network last night. I didn't work late last night,
but my night is coming tomorrow. The nightly duty is for those
staying to visit the offices of each user, remove their computer
Everyone is home!13 Jul 2006 22:33 GMT5
HRFL Tiger is home, and none the worse for wear. The purrs worked! All
the palava last night at the ER was an ultimate bastard cat trick with
hair-balls! He puked up a right big one at the TED's and is feeling a
lot better.
