| Where's my tree gone! | 23 Jun 2006 12:35 GMT | 8 |
Poor Francis... He doesn't know what is going on and he's *most* put-out. One of the willow trees on the bank of the stream is very dead. Being rotten from the base.

| What are those? | 23 Jun 2006 06:26 GMT | 3 |
The other day my sister was borrowing my car, and she and my nephew rode over on mopeds to get it. They left the mopeds in my patio, and for about half an hour Sundance sat right at the back door keeping an eye on them! I don't know what he was thinking -- maybe that they were ...

| A nice suprise... | 23 Jun 2006 04:45 GMT | 10 |
Looking after the mogs is tough at the moment, as finances are very tight. You may or may not remember that a little under 2 years ago, I fostered a couple of very sick, very feral girl kittens, Mitzi and Mouse, who had

| Pics: my niece's photography this time | 22 Jun 2006 23:38 GMT | 11 |
My niece visited again with her camera, so I could play with the cats while she took pictures. Here are some (a lot actually) action shots as a change to all the sleeping pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/45867313@N00/

| I made her bed and she must lie in it | 22 Jun 2006 23:38 GMT | 5 |
Longer ago than I care to think, I went on a laundry fit. I did several loads, brought them up with full intention of sorting and hanging, and our dining room table hasn't seen food since. Roxie has spoken, staked her claim, and made it into Her Ladyship's Bed.

| Amber's kittens | 22 Jun 2006 21:52 GMT | 4 |
They're now just about 8 weeks old. I'm still ranting and raving over getting Amber spayed. Our mom said she'll pay for Amber to get spayed, but whenever I say I'll set up an appt close by, and our mom will even go get her and take her and pick her up, just to make

| [Biking] Sigh!!! | 22 Jun 2006 21:33 GMT | 12 |
It's finally gotten too hot and too humid here in Houston to go biking at *any* time of day (at least biking for exercise). I've had to resort to using my treadmill for my exercise, but I *REALLY* miss going out on my bike. I can't wait for fall (like 10 months from now!!!). ...

| my cats are useless! | 22 Jun 2006 20:50 GMT | 7 |
For some reason, my computer room at home is infested with a number (and wide variety) of bugs. There are a couple of medium-sized moths, including a very fat-bodied one that looks like a small hummingbird, a number of very small flying things, some sort of long, reddish

| Happy Birthday, Nina | 22 Jun 2006 19:05 GMT | 13 |
She is two years old today, my little summer solstice cesarean section baby cat! This is the kitten the vet "Wasn't sure would make it" because she was so tiny at birth. Some joke, as she's definitely the dominant cat, around here! When I pick her up she feels rather like a

| Just to confirm... | 22 Jun 2006 14:15 GMT | 8 |
I've read it, and I know it's suppose to be true, but... The new place I'm moving to has an *excellent* cat box room in the basement. There's an old louver sliding door on it. I was thinking about cutting the bottom off, so the cats could go under it... but it would be DARK in ...

| "Bruver" - Question re lonely outdoor kitten/cat - re maMA, Loki and Rexie (for reference) - sorry , longish | 22 Jun 2006 13:57 GMT | 43 |
Long story trying to be short, I've told the story of maMA, found last summer, friendly as anything (dumped, I'm sure) pregnant, got her spayed. She then surprised the heck out of me a week after being spayed, by bringing a litter of 5 kitens out of hiding. I found homes for 4, ...

| Another picture of Caliban sleeping - again! | 22 Jun 2006 12:26 GMT | 39 |
Heh, I don't know how many pictures I've taken of Caliban sleeping, but here's another one. I guess I can't believe the cuteness. ;o) The difference here is that he's not sleeping on my bed, he's on my chair, and I had just finished brushing his tummy fur (he didn't move a muscle ...

| Abelard is sick :( | 22 Jun 2006 11:58 GMT | 33 |
He's barfing all of a sudden. Three or four times since supper last night. He eats, then tosses it back up. If he doesn't quit real soon he's off to see TED. Purrs that this will be unnecessary would be appreciated.
