Fourth day w/o Feliway10 Jun 2006 05:03 GMT3
I unplugged the diffuser on Monday because the windows are all open with
fans going so I figured it was being mostly wasted anyway. So far all the
behavioral changes I noted previously are holding true. There've been a few
very minor squabbles but nothing to get in a twist over. ...
ARTICLE: The saga of Vivi continues ...10 Jun 2006 02:24 GMT2
I try to follow what's going on with the search for this beautiful
d*g, and sometimes find new information, but they've never found
her. They say whippets can revert to feral quickly, so sadly she
may never be found.
Thomas UPDATE 3 Purrs still needed...09 Jun 2006 22:42 GMT17
Mary and I have just got back from the TED with Thomas where we
discussed his blood results. It seems that he has gone hyperthyroid
again. He had an op to remove his thyroid 2 years ago, and now the other
one is playing up. He also has high liver enzyme levels, rotten teeth
Persia's Test Results :)09 Jun 2006 22:38 GMT3
Yes, there's a smiley in the subject line.  When I picked up Persia and
Peaches at the vet, the vet wanted a consultation with me since they reupped
her shots and stuff while she was boarded.  Great news!
She's lost 1 lb.but now the vet wants me to give her 1/4 cup of her x/d
Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig!09 Jun 2006 22:31 GMT6
Well, I'm home (we added a day to the trip) but I don't pick up Persia and
Peaches until tomorrow morning :(  My flight from Kansas City got in too
late to pick up my babies :(  But I'll be there bright and early tomorrow
morning to bring them home and I called a few times while I ...
it's a mistake09 Jun 2006 22:25 GMT29
I usually don't brush the shorthaired kitties that much, and I found out
this weekend that's a mistake. Tommy and Eli got brushed and between them
lost enough fur to stuff a small pillow.
Purrs for a friend's cat please?09 Jun 2006 22:16 GMT17
My friend and former college roommate, Marna, called me yesterday.
Her 19-year-old cat Charlie is not doing well.  He is not eating or
drinking, and they took him to my vet yesterday, who gave him fluids
and a shot for his arthritis.  Marna is a very fragile person, who has
Karma bites you in the a.s ;o)09 Jun 2006 22:14 GMT11
I genuinely believe that karma comes back to you. As you all know, on
Sunday, my car died. On Monday and Tuesday, I took Thomas to the vet for
Mary. I gave up about 2 hours of my time in total, and didn't think
twice about doing it.
Luna and Fez outside!!!!09 Jun 2006 22:12 GMT15
We went for a walk down to Town Lake this afternoon. We left around 6pm
and came back at 8pm. As we always do, we verified all doors were
locked. When we arrived, Tom said, the back door is open! I said, what?
The patio door was open, so we rushed outside. Fez was on the patio ...
Happy Birthday Frank09 Jun 2006 22:12 GMT8
Frank is eight years old today. He's the longhaired Siamese kitten mill
baby. Can't believe that was eight years ago.
Everybody gets a spoonful of vanilla ice cream tonight :-) Except for
Bosley. He doesn't like it. Guess I'll have to eat his.
Another Rhett Story09 Jun 2006 20:47 GMT8
Yes, this cat amuses me so. He could fill a book of anecdotes!
You've heard of cats that wake and warn their hoomins about a fire
in the house, or some other bad thing happening? Well, I suspect
Rhett would be one of those cats.
Incredible!09 Jun 2006 20:14 GMT5
Eli and Baby Eyes seem to be falling in love! They follow one another around
constantly and take turns grooming one another... I've never seen Eli so
intent on grooming another cat. He does lick the others from time to time
but nothing like he's doing with Baby Eyes now. She ...
Abelard going nuts09 Jun 2006 16:34 GMT2
For my supper I prepared about eight different vegetables in a light sauce
with turmeric, served over hominy. Abelard can hardly wait for it to cool
down, some of his favorite vegies are in this dish. He ignored his gooshy
catfood this evening when he smelled the Brussels sprouts ...
Silhouette of a Supervillain09 Jun 2006 15:39 GMT5
I THOUGHT I had taken a step-by-step sequence of Nocturne in a poly,
but she is so dark that it is almost unrecognizable to see her
roly-poly around.
However, I CAN offer this striking silhouette taken from the next James
Jake is trying to start a family fight.09 Jun 2006 15:06 GMT5
Before we got out little puppy in December, I was very concerned that Molly
our feral rescue, tiny and timid cat that she is, would freak out and leave
for parts unknown.  Kayla is no longer a puppy but a very happy go lucky
adolescent Border Collie.  Molly will play with her, ...
