Idea for Tak- thoughts?17 Jun 2006 02:55 GMT49
Dear rpca folks,
please look gently upon me, I who may seem to be an interloper and I guess
am properly called a "lurker" (although I have posted just a bit here and
there).
Ham is our friend17 Jun 2006 02:36 GMT7
I am sequestering myself in the computer room with La Madame and a nice
can of H*m flavored cat food. She's eating quite nicely, Bast be
praised. First time in days I've seen her get at anything with any kind
of real gusto.
Cruising cats: Storm update16 Jun 2006 22:38 GMT8
Thanks for the purrs and other good vibrations.
I just got of the phone with Jim on Genesis in Savannah, Georgia.
The storm passed with about 5 inches of rain (over 2 days) and a lot of wind
(about 30 mph) and a 9.5-foot tide.  This is only about a foot higher than
Mama's worried16 Jun 2006 22:34 GMT9
When Brandy had her dental surgery last year, she bounced quite nicely
back, including appetite. Now Roxie has an appetite, but turns her nose
up at whatever we set down. She'll come running for chow and go to her
favorite place (on the stairs) and investigate her dinner, but hasn't
Introducing Rosie16 Jun 2006 22:24 GMT9
Hi my name is Rosie and I'm staying with meowmie Shirley until I find
a forever home. You're probably thinking why someone as sweet a I am
doesn't have a home already, well I'm only 8 weeks old and I got lost.
I can't remember how long I was lost for but a nice hoomin found me
Asterix16 Jun 2006 22:18 GMT13
I just came across some old photos in a drawer, one of them was of a cat
called Asterix who used to visit me occasionally. I scanned the picture and
uploaded it here.
Spooked Tippy16 Jun 2006 22:16 GMT8
Sunday we had a cook-out with Dennis's daughter, her boyfriend, thier two
daughters and his ex-wife. While we were sitting outside Tippy was sitting
looking out the music room door looking sad and weowing. I went in and got him,
put him on his leash and brought him outside. He ...

Overgrooming16 Jun 2006 22:12 GMT7
Chloe, lately, has been over-grooming herself to the point her nipples are
raw and she's lost quite a bit of hair on the inside of her legs.
She's also been throwing up large hairballs, which makes sense due to the
amount of hair she's losing.

We met16 Jun 2006 20:52 GMT7
Monday, Jim and I had a most enjoyable lunch with Julie Cook.
We were almost within waving distance a couple of weeks earlier.  She was on
Amelia Island when we passed by on Genesis in the ICW. But, she was on the
other side of the island.
upset warning: man jailed for torturing kitten16 Jun 2006 19:16 GMT2
Looks like this new law might just work.  I'm interested that the news
story named the man.

Basho lands softly16 Jun 2006 17:32 GMT1
One of the many traditions/routines I have with the cats features Basho,
my morning paper and a window-sill cat bed/hammock. Every morning while
I read the paper, Basho likes to come by, get a quick scritch and then
jump on his favorite bed, looking out at the birds on a feeder ...
Cats saved from fire16 Jun 2006 14:15 GMT12
Just saw a piece on the local news. A house caught fire. They said the
people got out. They were interviewing a VERY handsome fire fighter and
he said "We care as much.....we care an awful lot about the pets and
try to do as much as we can" (Notice, he rethought "care as much ...
