Weeble scares himself - again01 Jul 2006 00:31 GMT6
I prefer to read lying on the bed (or sofa).  When I do so, I'm usually
joined by several cats (Betty put me to sleep on Wednesday by curling up
between my knees and purring...zzzzzzz).  Weeble has a particular way of
jumping up on the bed:  I usually see his little head ...
Cat Tales - June 24th30 Jun 2006 22:04 GMT5
Poor Dulce Mae was nearly the victim of a catnapping. She was sunning
on the concrete in the building's quad area, when one of the other
residents came out and started sweet talking her. After a few minutes,
she reached down to pet Dulce Mae, who was having none of it. In fact,
Little improvement for Abelard30 Jun 2006 21:22 GMT16
Into his fifth day on antibiotics, and he's still barfing up most of what he
eats, and he's warmer than he should be.
:(
Job purrs of a different sort requested30 Jun 2006 21:21 GMT10
I am still really enjoying the work I do, though the commute sucks, being
on pager duty 24x7 sucks, and working for idiots sucks. But doing Linux
admin work is tons of fun.
However, in recent months I have observed some behavior from my employer
I Almost Lost Kate!30 Jun 2006 21:17 GMT6
I am vigilant to the point of obsession about watching open doors and
making sure cats do not escape.  But I never thought about the window
. . . .
We have old-fashioned windows, with the old-fashioned wood and wire
Purrs for Lizzie, please.30 Jun 2006 21:11 GMT18
Caught Lizzie peeing in a couple of places where she's not supposed to (as
in NOT in the litter box) this past week.  First time was Sunday night.  DH
thought she wasn't feeling well, so decided she would get to sleep with us,
so we had her locked in the bedroom with us.  We were ...
Been Away30 Jun 2006 20:19 GMT12
It's been a crazy week.  This past weekend was ComFest, that fun
old-hippie festival I do readings at every year.  It's really, really
tiring and wearying, but it's where I make the bulk of my business
money for the year.  Plus it is fun to see people I only see at
"Get your butt home NOW" purrs needed!!30 Jun 2006 07:02 GMT61
Smudge didn't come home last night! She has never done that before.
Usually she comes running up to me when she sees my car pull up to
the sidewalk in front of my building. Sometimes she's not around at
that moment, but has always shown up within a half hour or 45 minutes
Cruising cats update June 2730 Jun 2006 00:14 GMT2
Today, we left Georgia behind and crossed the Savannah River into South
Carolina.
It was a good thing we decided to stop at a marina instead of an anchorage
as originally planned.
Boyfriend's terrible ordeal29 Jun 2006 23:53 GMT20
I was woken up, not particularly early as I had the day off work, by very
loud and persistent meowing.  It sounded quite like what I call "the prey
miaow."  Those of you who have hunting kitties will know what I mean.
I shot out of bed to avoid my kitchen being turned into a room ...
No more sneaking in29 Jun 2006 22:02 GMT1
I hate carpet, I always have.  But this house we're renting has it in
the bedrooms.
It's funny because Vino considers it to be a horizontal scratching post.
We try to discourage it, but have been less than successful so far.  At
Glucosamine supplements29 Jun 2006 21:43 GMT11
I had a long chat on the phone with Pandoras TED this morning about the
use of Glucosamine supplements for her back legs. One brand that was
mentioned in conversation was "Glyco-Flex", and he said that he'd not
had good results with it as the tablets were HUGE for a cat, stank of
Candidates for World's Most Spoiled Cats29 Jun 2006 21:36 GMT26
Here are Dexter and Orion with their new toy, a fish pond.
Their Meowmie and Paw spent one entire weekend researching "do it
yourself" water gardens, the next weekend hauling rock, and the next
weekend actually building the thing.
Any news about Killini?29 Jun 2006 21:15 GMT9
I hope everything is going ok  - my guys are purring up a storm!
(literally - major storm and flood warnings in the area!)
Transportation help: soldier's cat29 Jun 2006 21:12 GMT1
From Best Friends:
Act of kindness from Salina, Kansas to Denver needed for soldier's cat...
We need Network members to commit an act of kindness for an ailing man, who
desperately needs a ride for himself and the cat he inherited from a noble
