UPDATE: Dulce Mae30 May 2006 22:14 GMT5
Dulce Mae is doing much better now. She eventually calmed down enough
to realize she wasn't getting another car ride, and stopped vomiting
She was not particularly about the ointment, but she apparently
realizes that it is helping. She has been very sweet and cuddlesome to
When I'm Cleaning Windows30 May 2006 21:16 GMT4
I suppose it says something about my lack of attention to housekeeping
that I'm not sure if I've cleaned the windows since I got my new owner
kittens, and that was in December! However, today I finally got round
to doing them and was rewarded with two Fascinated Felines. I started
Pls comment on barking dogs letter (OT)30 May 2006 19:51 GMT56
After yet another sleepless night, I've written a letter to my neighbors
that I plan to print and deliver today (wish I knew their email address...
not sure my printer will work, haven't hooked it up in years, ink may be
dried out), but first I want to check if you think it is OK ...
Stoshu's Cup30 May 2006 17:01 GMT3
There's a local polka band who, in the interest of spurring the Sabres
on to winning the Stanley Cup, have recorded a little piece called
"Let's Get Stoshu's Cup." (Actually spelled Stasiu, means Little
Stanley.) Now, considering the thrashing we got from Carolina the past
Getting Ridiculous. OT30 May 2006 13:06 GMT40
Ya'll remember my sad story about having no air conditioning. It is
going to be a couple of weeks before we can get a unit installed.
Today, I decided I couldn't take it anymore,  and decided to go buy a
small window unit for the bedroom for a temporary fix. They're pretty

Visitor cats30 May 2006 08:51 GMT6
Acqui is the white cat who hates everyone. Still, he comes to our door
every evening to see if I will feed him. Every attempt to pet him has
been met with slashes at my hand, and hissing.
That's okay, I'm patient, and I like him even if he is rude.
Cat carriers30 May 2006 05:08 GMT7
As a senior citizen, I decided it was time for a lightweight cat carrier for
those visits to TED.  The really good ones were out of reach of my budget,
but I found one in a mail order catalog and ordered it.  It is made of
fabric, similar to that used for baby blankets.  The problem ...
Rhett has a new obsession30 May 2006 01:19 GMT27
Now that humidifier season is over, Rhett's had to find something
else to get in trouble with. Now he's pulling the air duct registers
out of the floor. This could be bad.
What cat toys do yours like?29 May 2006 22:26 GMT16
Okay, we can skip over the boxes, bags, baskets and milk bottle caps :)  We
all know cats love those things.
What about other toys?  Persia doesn't like things that roll, like jingle
balls.  She does love those crinkly mylar balls but that's because they make
She told me :)29 May 2006 19:15 GMT12
Persia was stretched out on her side and I was giving her scritches around
her neck, then the top of her head.  She was rubbing her face against my
hand.  Then I rubbed down her nose - she turns her head up, mouth slightly
open... she loves this!  [I think that's where she got the ...
I could use some job-related purrs29 May 2006 12:17 GMT17
I could use some job-related purrs.
The bad news is, I lost my job earlier this week. So I'm back in
job-search mode. *&#&$, I thought I was done with this. So much for that.
The good news is, the stress on that job was making me physically sick. So
So many feathers, so much fur29 May 2006 08:54 GMT14
I borrowed "So Many Feathers" (DVD) again from the library for the kitties.
Well, at least for Baby Eyes, who until now had been the only one of this
clowder interested in watching TV. But I now have six (6) furbabies crowded
around the TV watching the birdie show. Only Abelard ...
The Impossible Dream29 May 2006 07:18 GMT1
I was just outside seeing if I could coax Jake and Molly into coming inside
for the night.
It's a really nice evening, and if I were a cat I wouldn't want to come in.
I found Jake in the plum tree considering jumping onto the roof.  (He can't
Prey29 May 2006 07:00 GMT2
Louie found the poor thing lying in the living room defalted, flattened,
shredded, riddled with teeth marks. Where had it come from? Who did
this? And why, when there are mousies and catnip bags galore, did
someone decide to beat the living daylights out of a roll of toilet
