PB update07 May 2006 18:48 GMT35
Not good news, PB went to the rainbow bridge at noon today.
It wasn't renal failure but cancer after all.
I got up early this morning and went outside, the sun was shining and
PB bounced (I should have called him Tigger) down the garden to me. We
How Loud Do Your Cats Purr?07 May 2006 18:39 GMT16
Persia's nickname is the rumblebug.  She purrs so loudly some times I can't
hear myself think.  When she's sleeping she purrs gently but if she wants
food she sounds like a boat moter.  What's really funny is when she yawns
while she's purring.  Then she sounds like she's saying ...

Have we got any Calgary or Edmonton catslaves here? Can you wave and

Folks I am going to ask for your purrs, prayers and hugs for all those
in the affected areas.   Please if you could spare some for me and my family
I would be greatley appreciated but the others need more.
It has been really nerve racking near me for the last couple days. ...
Ping Marina07 May 2006 06:05 GMT9
Buried deep in the many hundreds of bookmarks I have, I found a
*working* one which goes to a web page with a picture of Nikki, and an
audio file of her purring!
I vividly remember reading your great Frank and Nikki stories when I
Canine visit07 May 2006 04:22 GMT6
The funniest thing happened earlier.  I was outside putting
out these sandstone mushrooms we have.  Suddenly there was this
blind guy on the driveway and he was trying to raise funds for the
blind.

Please purr for me07 May 2006 03:01 GMT16
Seems both Rusty and I share the medical problems.
My annual checkup revealed blood in my urine. My doctor just order an
abdominal ultrasound to check on my kidneys.
Rusty had an urinary infection in March. Tests showed his kidneys are fine.
Treading on the paws07 May 2006 01:06 GMT16
How many times have you trodden on your cat's paw? You know the thing, you
are busy in the kitchen, take a short step back and the floor feels soft;
there is a simulaneous yelp and a galloping noise and you are in the bad
books for a week. Costs a fortune in mogular sustenance to ...
Cruising cats: hanging out on the anchor06 May 2006 23:07 GMT14
Today we left the marina at Orange Beach, Alabama and now are at anchor near
Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We passed islands with snow white beaches and
the water is becoming more and more clear.
Now, we are at anchor by a barrier island.  From up on our fly bridge we can

I've never taken my cats out to a restaurant, they like to be served their
meals at home. They have always got dry food in their bowl, and fresh water.
From time to time I like to give them a snack, maybe some tuna or something
like that. That's always appreciated. Teti and ...
PB is poorly06 May 2006 11:18 GMT28
A trip to TED with him this afternoon wasn't encouraging, his kidneys
are very large.......an infection is unlikely as his temperature is
normal....he's booked in for blood tests and an x-ray tomorrow.
TED thinks it's either cancer or end stage renal failure...d*mn why
Can You Divorce Your Cat?06 May 2006 02:46 GMT1
My cat and I are in counselling right now, and I am hopeful.
But if we are unable to resolve our problems in a way that is
acceptable to us both, is it possible to divorce ones cat?
And if you do, is the cat entitled to half the house, car, income, etc?
A brief encounter-potential TW (Love is never OT)06 May 2006 02:37 GMT3
This story was sent to me by a friend who doesn't wear mascara and thus
doesn't know the dangers of it running. It's a dog story, but this dog's
human companion tells us what loving our four-legged friends--and
two-legs for that matter--is all about.
Neighbor's pitbulls running free (OT)06 May 2006 01:51 GMT14
My girlfriend lives in an apartment complex, and lately I noticed that
one
of her neigbors (living in a ground-floor apartment) has a pair of
pitbulls (male
