It's back...10 May 2006 03:57 GMT4
Either the original robin is back, or the behaviour of the orginal has been
learnt by the offspring...
Remember how back in 04 I posted about a robin who would fly into the
utility room and take dry catfood from Waffles's bowl?

Daylight Savings Time09 May 2006 21:03 GMT95
For those in areas who have this weird clock change, don't forget to "Spring
Forward".  Daylight Savings Time kicks in at 2AM tomorrow morning.  I also
heard on the news, next year they plan to increase it by 4 weeks.  So, in
their infinite wisdom, the powers that be will render ...

What is it with cats and closed doors? I mean, why do cats always have
to be on the other side of them? If you have a cat or cats you know
what I mean. You're sitting in the next room watching TV or reading,
and you hear a loud meow. Its tone can mean only one thing:

Has anyone heard any of Bruce Springsteen's new CD, "The Seeger
Sessions"?  Well, it's pretty . . . lively.  My local public radio
station is having its pledge drive now, and giving the CD away as a
pledge premium, and regularly plays a little clip from the record.

When I used to share a flat years ago with a girl who was owned by a
large tom cat called (surprisingly) Thomas - she used to get melts for
him from the butcher, sometimes she boiled it (gross) sometimes she
gave it to him raw (even more gross).  He used to practically attack

Vino has always been one of those cats that tries to sneak out the front
door as anyone's coming in.  Seems that his habits haven't changed in
quarantine.
The ladies who work there told me he's always squeezing out as they're

Around the corner from my house is a plaza where there's an organic pet
food store and gift shop. Every now and then I go in to get some special
munchies for my kids because the place carries such canned delicacies as
Thanksgiving Dinner (with the trimmings!), California Roll, and ...
Purr Request UPDATE08 May 2006 19:06 GMT10
Jessie is now home, she had one tooth removed and the rest cleaned. This was
all done with a sedative rather than a general anaesthetic so she was wide
awake and complaining loudly when we picked her up. I'm very relieved she's
OK, she's not my cat but I'm *very* fond of her.
Update on Bom Bom08 May 2006 10:05 GMT8
Some time ago, I told you about Bom Bom who had to be rehomed, not because
the owners abondoned him (as some of you thought), but because the lady who
kept him was moving and could not have him anymore.
For some weeks now, my ex-wife has taken care of him, and he has been having

Despite severe provocation everyone he's beaten up, savaged, thrashed
the homes of, etc., etc., has managed not to assassinate him so he's
made it to his first special day!
Not quite sure how and he started as he doubtless means to go on with a

My cats occasionally try to mooch human food from me. For instance, if I'm
eating a TV dinner in the living room, they will approach, sniff, and
occasionally try to snag some tasty morsel from me.
If I tell them to keep away in my "no!" voice, it doesn't have much effect.
