Dear Friends:

was a kitten.  I found her behind an automotive garage when she was
three weeks.  I took her to a vet and he allowed me to bottle feed her
No resolution in re utility bill (OT)11 May 2006 10:07 GMT14
I got a visit from the head of the city utilities department today. No one
can account for the excessive readings on my electric and water bills. I'm
wondering where to turn next for help in investigating this matter.
We are siamese, if you please...11 May 2006 06:27 GMT19
I had to nip up to TED's today to get some food for Robbie. It's a very

Kitten smitten with knittin'10 May 2006 22:56 GMT1
It always seems that there are few pictures that convey domestic
contentment that are quite like that of a person relaxing in his or her
living room, no worries, rapt in their knitting and the quiet wonder of
weaving something useful and tangible out of the vague tangle that is

Purrs and candles please, for one gone to the Bridge10 May 2006 22:26 GMT10
I've mentioned that my therapist has two cats, one of whom (Yin) is
always with me during therapy.  The other one, Baby, was older,
frailer, and more shy.  I never met her because she stayed upstairs,
at least when company was around.
I think Calico has a home10 May 2006 22:25 GMT10
I was working the adoptathon for my local no kill rescue society today
(and tomorrow and Sunday) when I ran into a couple who were interested
in an older cat who might not otherwise get adopted.  I immediately told
them about Calico who is 9 years old and has the thyroid problem. ...
Remembering DD10 May 2006 22:19 GMT10
It was on the 5th of May, 2003 that DD made her journey to the Rainbow
Bridge.
DD had been Nancy's companion for a few years before Nancy and I married.
When Nancy and I moved in together we each brought a kitty - I brought
PB's story (long)10 May 2006 22:16 GMT8
A young lady knocked on my door in the summer of 1997, she had a very
large cardboard box with her and in the box were 2 very frightened,
jet black, 6 month old kittens. she had found them in her garden when
they were about 3 months old and it took quite a while before they

CLERMONT, Iowa (AP) -- The city isn't going to pussyfoot around when it
comes to stray cats. The City Council has decided that anyone who feeds
the cuddly creatures are aiding a nuisance.
Mean Meowmy!10 May 2006 16:36 GMT3
I've told you guys how Sammy comes up to my desk chair and taps me on my arm
when she wants to play with her wand.  I have little holes all along my left
arm because pokes me with her claws to be sure to get my attention.
I was concentrating on a particularly hard bit of code just ...
Matthew's abandoned kitty10 May 2006 15:17 GMT26
This exchange also appears in the thread, "How loud does your cat
purr?" but I think it deserves its own posting because of Matthew, and
others like him.

No, really, cats ARE religious!10 May 2006 15:03 GMT12
In the past few days I posted a few stories portraying the Master
Species of Cat to be not only our superiors (as we catslaves know) but

sacred, and probably better than us two-legs.
Why do I bother?10 May 2006 06:35 GMT14
I've already told you about the enormous success that the scratching post
