Shhh! Don't let on that anything is up.  One of your cats might get the word
to Cinder.
As many of you know, we are in the Okeechobee Waterway crossing the state of
Florida.  If the weather holds, we will be on the other side (east coast) in
Letting Eli Win18 May 2006 16:32 GMT7
Tommy and Eli were play-fighting for a close to half an hour this evening.
Tommy laid on his back 90% of the time with Eli holding onto his head from
behind, making moves like he was trying to bite Tommy's ears.
Every few minutes Tommy would let out a little squeal which had a ...
[Totally OT] Washing machine woes18 May 2006 14:28 GMT5
My washing machine has gone wonky (should I blame this on Sherry too?).
If I have had the taps turned off for a while (more than an hour), turn the
machine on, and then turn the taps on, the water goes into the machine at
the normal rate for the wash cycle. The washing machien ...

Both Bobby and Casey are 11.  Casey's birthday is today.
Here is a pic link:

So glad they are both in good health and I hope they live another 10+ years.

A Visitation from Sabra18 May 2006 07:33 GMT4
Last Thursday was the anniversary of Sabra's journey to The Bridge.
I was in the bedroom, with two cats on the bed sleeping.
Now, I have an old crystal necklace that hangs on the back of the
bedroom door.  Long ago, most of the cats realized that if they batted

Vet Tech Journals: First day18 May 2006 04:06 GMT9
Three weeks to graduation and I had my first day at the new place.
The doctor is French and seems to be a nice guy.  He was impressed that
i was able to jump in pretty quick.  I knew most of my stuff and he
thinks I'm going to be a good member of the team.
Memphis changes character!18 May 2006 03:48 GMT1
While we all went away over Easter, Memphis and Phoenix were very well
looked after by the breeder they came from.
An interesting change has come over Memphis ever since. He actually gets up
on my lap! He curls up, has head rubs and goes to sleep on me. This is
purrs, please -- dr appt today18 May 2006 03:31 GMT91
I spent the night mostly on the porcelain throne, waiting for
something to happen.
As of Friday, the nature of my bowel troubles seems to have reversed
itself.  Still no fun, though.
Hang It Sherry, this is your fault ;-P17 May 2006 19:11 GMT60
Sherry, your rant about your appliances attacking you has caused no end
of trouble around my house.
First Emily's alternator died.  Admittedly at 17, Emily is an old girl,
but she was game until you posted about your appliances.
Merlin not a fan of Kate Bush17 May 2006 17:47 GMT17
LOL, not my rendition of it anyway! Merlin just came in for some lovin'
after sleeping for a while. Jumped up on the desk to be met with a
top-volume amateur rendition of 'Wuthering Heights'. I got the *ear* x
2, the *flicky tail*, the *shocked pause* and he left without stopping
Could I have a double dose of purrs please?17 May 2006 17:23 GMT19
Jasper's been "off" recently.  Not eating, lethargic; with his diabetes, we
were understandably worried, so offto the vet's we went.  Locum diagnosed an
infection and prescribed antibiotics, and within a day or two J was back to
his normal self.  However, at the end of the course ...
Persia's finally eating the cat grass!17 May 2006 05:48 GMT2
I'd just about given it up as hopeless but I just caught her nibbling on it.
Good thing, too, because some of it was starting to go brown and I had to
pluck those strands out.  Guess now I'll have to get a refill for the little
ceramic pot when she's done grazing and grow some more ...
Goopy eyes17 May 2006 03:48 GMT10
Vino never had goopy eyes before, ever.  But I think he might have
picked up something in quarantine.  Which really makes me mad, they
force him to be there for a month to see if he's healthy and he comes
home less healthy than when he went in!  Grrrr!
