| If you want a/nother cat.... | 28 Apr 2006 07:15 GMT | 1 |
Give strong consideration to getting a Maine Coon, because they sing. We don't know absolutely for sure that Billy is a Maine Coon, but I believe he is. He sings just like my RB Cotton, who was a MC. He sounds almost like a bird at times.

| Kate & Jack are done & a stinky butt | 27 Apr 2006 23:32 GMT | 3 |
It took me three phone calls to track down someone to get me to Petco last night to get Kate and Jack their final (I hope!) care, i.e., rabies shots (and some Cestex for Jack's little wormy problem). They did perfectly fine, are fine today, and yeah! They're *done* for a

| Dante concentrates | 27 Apr 2006 22:53 GMT | 1 |
When I sit or lie down, I usually get two cats vying for real estate on my body. Stinky sits or lies and purrs away, but Dante does an elaborate, four-footed kneading dance, and sometimes travels all the way down my legs and back in the process. When I try to touch his

| I got the full paw treatment | 27 Apr 2006 19:18 GMT | 8 |
Most of you know Persia has taken to tapping or gently touching my nose or face when she wants me to wake up. It's turned into a sort of a game. As I slowly wake up after she touches my face, I reach out and touch hers. Then I close my eyes again. She does it again; I do it ...

| This is MINE!!! | 27 Apr 2006 19:08 GMT | 7 |
As anyone with multiple cats surely knows, there is always fussing going on over space. Rather like little kids in the car bickering that Big Brother's pinky nail has inched onto Little Sister's side of the back seat. Likewise in the Singh home (This means that the Singhs are ...

| Teasing Dante | 27 Apr 2006 00:21 GMT | 6 |
One of the most fun things about having a babycat around (and Dante is in many ways, still a babycat), is how everything is new to them-- even things that aren't really new-- and their "WOW!" reactions. I was sweeping outside, and turned around and saw Dante in the window

Spock and Persephone have had a busy morning. I filled the birdfeeder a couple of days ago, using wild bird seed mix. No-one found it until a moderately large flock (15 to 20 birds) of red-browed finches discovered it this morning. This is what red-browed finches look like

| Hi from Romeo in Japan | 26 Apr 2006 22:50 GMT | 8 |
I have found a new Meowmie so I thought I'd say "yoroshiku (nice to meet you)" to this group. My new Meowmie speaks some funny language, not like Japanese at all, but she speaks softly to me and I listen. Every time I call for food, she looks happy and says something that

| Just a little wounded dignity | 26 Apr 2006 21:19 GMT | 15 |
Licky was sleeping peacefully on the monitor, when suddenly he slid right off it and into the crevice between the monitor and the bookshelf next to it. That crevice is about 6 inches wide, and his body was all scrunched up, legs pointing in the air, etc. He quickly got himself out

I've started using a great little programme that detects cats using the keyboard of your PC and helps prevent lost work. http://www.bitboost.com/pawsense/ I recommend it!

| A Stranger through the cat flap... | 26 Apr 2006 18:23 GMT | 18 |
I have just had the most *INSANE* 1/2 hour. I've just been trying to catch the local thug tom who came in through my cat flap. I found him in the bread bin of all places, and I don't know who was more shocked to see the other, me or him. He predictably freaked out and proceeded
