I captured a feral tom in my house last night03 Apr 2006 10:22 GMT28
I keep a ground floor window open at all times for my cats to
get in and out as they please.
In the last several months, a feral tom  has been getting into the
house

Cat Cottage03 Apr 2006 07:20 GMT4
I got my cats a Cat Cottage from Foster and Smith for about $25.
It's basically just a big carbboard box with 4 levels with holes so
they can climb from floor to floor. It also has openings in the sides
for doors and windows that they can go in and out or reach through and

prefer female and shorthair.
Or if your cat will have baby soon, let me know and I can reserve one:)
thanks.
strange behavior03 Apr 2006 03:57 GMT7
Cinders has a habit of repeatedly opening and closing her mouth while
inhaling, making a suck-suck-suck-suck sound.  Is this simply the
behavior called flehmening, or is this indicative of some sort of
problem, such as a dental problem?  I haven't seen any other cat do
Tornado Safety purrs03 Apr 2006 02:58 GMT24
My greatest fear is tornados that strike in the night when I'm asleep, but I
am too tired to stay awake any longer tonight and don't want to sleep in the
dank basement which I have so far not had time to clean. Would appreciate
some purrs to keep me & the owners safe tonight.
Prayers for a cat attacked by a dog03 Apr 2006 02:45 GMT8
Some *&%^%^&*&^ teenagers thought it would be fun to sick
their dog on a cat, and videotape it. Little Pr*cks! The cat was
killed. :(  Charges are pending against the little b*st*rds. There is
a bit more about it on this website:
Cruising cats: March 27, 200603 Apr 2006 02:23 GMT6

We rose with the sun, ate breakfast, and pulled up an anchor covered with
Louisiana black mud.  We retraced our path downstream and under the bridge
and entered the ICW.
Please wish us luck....!03 Apr 2006 01:42 GMT24
Please could my company, Dark Tiger, have some good luck purrs? As you
may know, I've been setting up a Production Company for a while. We
currently have a few *major* plans in the pipeline, and this week is
*crunch* time for 3 main projects we've been working on (for what seems

Went to the vet's office pick up a bag of Hill's x/d for Persia.  One of the
techs came up front, spotted it on the counter and said, "Hey!  You must be
Persia's mom!" <G>  Then she proceeded to tell me how much she loves Persia,
and Peaches, too!  She did tell me something I hadn't ...
A conversation with Persia02 Apr 2006 23:27 GMT3
No, Persia, Daylight Savings Time does NOT mean you get to eat an hour
earlier!  See, technically it's still only 4:00AM and besides, you don't get
fed until 6AM anyway.  What do you mean that isn't fair?!  How would you
like it if, when DST ends in the Fall, I don't let you eat for ...
Of Cats, Dogs and Lightbulbs 02 Apr 2006 22:15 GMT2
The Question: "How Many Dogs Does It Take to Change A Light Bulb?"
1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our
whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned
out bulb?
Ripping out the screens (pics)02 Apr 2006 14:50 GMT9
I was cleaning our bedroom this AM when Otis starting yowling right under
the window, which is second storey window.  He wanted in, and now.
Very shortly, my heart dropped into my boots when I heard the familiar sound
of a cat hitting the window screen.  Luckily, he didn't bounce ...
Funny Little Game02 Apr 2006 13:24 GMT6
This afternoon I was lying on my side on the couch intending to take a brief
nap.  Persia was next to me, facing me.  I was giving her scritches - neck,
forehead, rubbing the bridge of her nose.  When I stopped and laid my hand
against my chest she reached up and touched my forehead ...
scritch reactions02 Apr 2006 08:04 GMT9
I've been thinking lately about the different reactions I've seen when
one of my cats jumps up for some scritches. I've only had four cats as
an adult - I spent 20 years active duty in the Army, and as a single
soldier never thought it right to get a pet and have to rehome it if I
