Purrs for my LLL12 Apr 2006 16:19 GMT9
Poor dear has been hacking and coughing for a week.  I finally convinced him
to see his doctor (why won't men just go to a doctor?).  He has bronchial
pneumonia.  They gave him all sorts of drugs and prescription cough medicine
and told him to take it easy.  His next art show isn't ...
Traitor!12 Apr 2006 14:42 GMT36
At least that's what my three think of me.
On Saturday we were in South Wales, as Nathan was riding an event (round 2
of Rudy Project time trial series). Whilst in the Welsh Valleys we went to
see Vernon's daughter and her parter. They have a cat: Charlie. Charlie is

Stinky Sings12 Apr 2006 04:02 GMT9
Stinky has been making like Caruso  today.  When he feels like it, he
can muster up an astonishing bellowing noise.  He likes to do it down
in the basement (the echo??), but he likes to swagger around the house
doing it, too.  It is definitely a territorial thing, but Dante always
Speaking of Geese12 Apr 2006 01:19 GMT57
This goose has been protecting a ToysRUs store in New Jersey.

I saw footage on the local news just now. Doesn't look TOO mean. Just a
bit persistant. The store is taking it well.

Kitty mimic11 Apr 2006 17:12 GMT12
I'm still a new cat owner...I adopted two sister cats as kittens and
they are about 2-1/2 years old now.
One sister (the more submissive one) observes and mimics older cats in
the household to a remarkable degree (remarkable to me, anyway).  I've
Writing purrs11 Apr 2006 16:56 GMT37
I've been busting my onions with writing projects for quite a while. It
is my dream above dreams to be a full time writer, to be able to leave
the Job of Evil and spend my time researching and typing, sell the movie
rights, find a nice fat actress to play The Heroine Who Secretly ...

Beatrice went to sleep in a litterbox11 Apr 2006 15:10 GMT11
I found her in one of the litterboxes, asleep, in the meatloaf pose. None of
my owners has ever done that before.
What does it mean??? Is it some sort of message I am supposed to decipher?
Community property?11 Apr 2006 15:07 GMT1
I'm at work, where I've been practically living and this board is saving my
sanity. Thinking of sanity, I'm calling to mind a story of Fritzie's youth,
when i first moved out of my parents' home into the Big Bad City.
the girl downstairs was an outpatient from the Buffalo ...
Sympathy11 Apr 2006 15:05 GMT14
Last September my baby girl Brandy had to have several teeth extracted due
some bizarre gingival abcess, and now has to have daily toothbrushing with
squirts of this kitty mouthrinse every other day or so. She's very good for
the brushing, which just astounds the vet; she told us ...
[food] Cheese!11 Apr 2006 15:03 GMT67
Most delicious thing I've come across in a long time:
Slice haloumi cheese approx 5 mm thick (half a pencil width thick... I don't
have my metric to imperial convertor)), and pan fry in a light oil. Once its
golden brown on both sides, remove from pan and sprinkle with lime (or
Dinner party dilemma (not OT)11 Apr 2006 05:58 GMT32
Well, we're having a couple over for dinner tomorrow night.  I'd like it to
be very nice since we're just getting to know them and they had us over for
an extremely lovely dinner a month ago or so.
Of course the dilemma is the dining room table.  We'll have appetizers in
