Pix of Rex, Mama and Loki cohabitating in peace!21 Mar 2006 23:29 GMT16
Mama likes to come in, but she gets antsy and doesn't like to stay. I had posted
a couple pix of her on the bed with Rex, but I just uploaded these to my puter
and thought they were pretty good! (Now if I could find a wild animal trainer to
trim her talons!)
Commandeered by the DFS21 Mar 2006 23:29 GMT1
I've been commandeered by the DFS - the Department of Feline Security.
Much to Senyah's amusement.
Yesterday and today, we've had some severe thunderstorms. Loud, boomy
ones, with seriously heavy rains.

introducing my girls21 Mar 2006 23:07 GMT21
Hi! This is my second post here.  Just wanted to introduce my babies!
Sylvia is a 6 1/2 year old grey tabby, a rescue from behind a
restaurant in Asbury Park,NJ, at 1 1/2- two days later I adopted her,
fresh spay stitches and all! Living with a human, interacting with a

I got THE cutest set of pics fowarded today. Has anyone seen them? A
little bitty TINY kitten and this big ol' dog with tons of scrunchy
wrinkles in his face and it is a series of pics as the kitten explores
the dog and then cuddles up with him. I need to find somewhere to post
*****SIGH*****21 Mar 2006 22:55 GMT30
I don't know if you guys remember me telling you, a year ago, about a little
black and white cat who hangs around our house day and night (her people
never allowed her inside).  Here's a picture of her looking in at my girls:

Morbid me (OT)21 Mar 2006 22:37 GMT11
This past weekend my mother, who died in 1988, would have had her
birthday. She would have been 98, if she had had the constitution of
Rose Kennedy. She was nealy 60 when she adopted me as a baby, which is
how at the age of 40 I had George Burns in drag for a mom.
Elevator Butt?21 Mar 2006 22:37 GMT17
I never paid attention to the relative position of cat butts to the
floor during times of vigorous petting, until someone wrote a month or
two back about one of her cats hiking up her little tuchus in a rush of
kitty ecstasy. Now I look and it's everywhere! Roxie and Odessa lift

Jake needs recovery purrs21 Mar 2006 22:20 GMT24
As usual, I feel like a bad mommy for not noticing sooner.  Jake has been a
little listless the last couple of weeks.  We noticed and chalked it up to
the weather.  I'd stay in bed all day too if I could get away with it.
Wednesday night he didn't come to bed.  That is almost ...
Amelia could use some purrs too21 Mar 2006 22:20 GMT18
Amelia kitty (aka Tiny Baby and Hoover Girl) could use some purrs. A
few days ago she started showing signs of a UTI, so we went to the
vet. He confirmed a bladder infection and gave us a prescription
for antibiotics. She is giving me a major fight over her pills,
Mocha (RB)21 Mar 2006 21:59 GMT10
Last night when I got home, there was a message on my voicemail from
a friend, asking if I would be available today, to help out one of her
friends. The friend's cat had just died, and she wanted to bury her
in a park, but she had nobody to go with her. She didn't want to do
Who says Tiger is fat?21 Mar 2006 21:06 GMT3
When the mood strikes him, Tiger, at 24 pounds, squeezes into the
cat-dog house.  Note the fork for scale.

Not a lap sitter21 Mar 2006 19:35 GMT6
I got Tawney from Animal Welfare in 2003.  (I don't know her age
because the records are contradictory.  My veterinarian said she was
probably about 3.)
She won't touch people food and she won't sit on my lap.
Purr request21 Mar 2006 19:17 GMT12
I found this on a forum I frequent; it was in the 'off topic' area.
It's a bad situation, but the dog owner is trying to make it right.
The poor kitty could use the power of purr: (copied directly from the
post)
