{OT} Good News & Bad News22 Mar 2006 23:40 GMT9
My MIL had hip replacement surgery today and came through it ok (she's
79 and has COPD) even though her hip was in far worse condition than
thought originally - she had to have a general anaesthetic instead of
an epidural. A few purrs for a quick recovery would be appreciated.
Andrea Fuller Update22 Mar 2006 23:34 GMT13
Well, I FINALLY got hold of Andrea and spoke to her this afternoon,
after employing some lateral thinking tactics and roping in a couple of
friends to make some checks in odd places for me.
Her updates are, that she's not in brilliant health, although she is OK
Katrina Recovery Update22 Mar 2006 23:27 GMT20
For those of you following my daughter's Katrina saga....
I have some *VERY* good news.
First, Erin and Greg finished putting on the new roof last weekend (they did
it *BY THEMSELVES*).  They've also finished replacing all the studs inside
I'm a bit worried, too (OT)22 Mar 2006 23:22 GMT48
Those of you who have been posting here for some time will remember the
major surgery I had to have last year.  I had to have a very long incision
from above my ribcage down to the pubis due the nature of what was wrong, so
that all my other organs could be looked at.

my grandma (ot)22 Mar 2006 09:03 GMT31
My grandma is in the hospital.  She was having trouble breathing and is
now on oxygen and pills to get fluid out of her lungs.  She is getting
weaker and weaker, and she is 94, and my dad says it doesn't look good.
My grandma hates being dependent on everyone and being almost blind ...
Mourning the Mouser in Chief...22 Mar 2006 07:09 GMT1
This week in Housecat Wisdom, Mr. Fleez honours the memory of Britain's
most memorable Mouser in Chief: Humphrey.  He was a genuine moggy,
respected by many in spite of his political ties, and if it weren't for
him, who knows how many filthy rats might've been sharing beds with the

Hi everyone, thanks for all the purrs!! We're all ok, no damage to us but a
lot of damage up here. The cats were a bit freaked out, but had a lovely
play outside this arvo (after it was all gone...aussie cyclones pass quickly
but are very intense). My friend in Innisfail had the ...
Everybody ok in Australia?22 Mar 2006 06:19 GMT4
I was reading about the cyclone that tore through a portion of Australia,
are any of our friends living around where it touched down? And if you are,
are all of your ok? We are purring and praying that not too many lives were
lost, both 4 and 2-legged and that property damage is ...

Getting Ready for the 2006 Voyage of the Mouser22 Mar 2006 04:58 GMT10
I published this on the Blog for the Mouser (link below):
Well, it's that time of year again.  We're here at the dock, all the
pre-sailing work is done, supplies have been ordered to show up for next
week and we're taking special orders for any extras.  I've asked the fat
