Sandy's in trouble24 Mar 2006 19:12 GMT16
It looks like Sandy will soon be sending you her doggy-wags from the
RB.  She's been on a kidney diet for the past year.  Last week she
refused to eat for a couple of days.  Took her to the vet last Friday
- she's still there.  She's eaten nothing since, has had a daily IV to
Francis24 Mar 2006 17:51 GMT9
Everyday with Francis is special since that fule young vet tried to convince
me to euthanise Francis... ohhh... back in 04... insisting Francis's kidneys
were shot and Francis had to be euthanised immediately... Alas, said vet was
not Australia's finest export :-(
Lack of a scratching post24 Mar 2006 13:40 GMT1
Poor Vino, he has no scratching post here in Malaysia.  We looked all over
the place to get him a little one because he's taken to scratching this
ottoman that came with the furnished apartment that we're in.  But we
couldn't find one anywhere.

Tessie climbed up the cat tree to eat her lunch...
Silver saw her and decided to have a go herself.
Silver made it to the first level of the cat tree with no worries.
Silver reached up to the second tier of the cat tree and sharpened her
Here's trouble...24 Mar 2006 04:47 GMT13
Scouty and Silver are fed Science Diet Lite kibble to try and keep
their ever-growing tummies under control. I sprinkle on a little bit
of kit-n-kaboodle in each bowl to make it a little more interesting
(mainly because we fed the neighbours cat for a few weeks and they

Broadband went down this morning...
When it came back on, newsreader messed up. Said ... wait for it... over
100000 unread posts. Obviously it was having a senior moment. So I've
deleted everything and starting from scratch in newsgroup terms.
Update - Baby is home!23 Mar 2006 22:56 GMT9
Called my friend's husband and he said Baby was hiding way back in a
closet the whole time!  So thank goodness she didn't get out.
He said the thieves stole all their food, 1/2 of his diabetic medicine
and slit their mattress.  In addition to taking the tv and 2 dvd

Where I should be right now23 Mar 2006 20:58 GMT4
My parents left for Greece tonight.  I'm feeling like I needed to
go (so freaking stressed out) but it's also good I could cancel
because life is in such an unknown state right now.  I wish I
could live my life without unknowns.  Isn't that "living in the
Purrs for Baby23 Mar 2006 18:59 GMT13
My friend called me last night and asked me to take her dog for a night
or 2.  Their house had been broken into while they were at work and
there was a lot of glass to clean up.
In addition to the dog, Polly, they have 2 cats.  One cat stayed in the

Meanwhile, we are staying in a furnished 2 bedroom apartment in Penang,
Congratulations to Abelard!23 Mar 2006 11:37 GMT6
In the month since he's been an indoor-only kitty, he has gained a
considerable amount of much-needed weight, going from just under 7 lbs. to
almost 8.5. Normal weight for an adult male Aby is around 9 lbs. He hasn't
got far to go!!!
Seven baby kittens!23 Mar 2006 06:12 GMT12
I thought there were seven adult cats living with me, but I was wrong. They
are all just kittens, one big happy litter of playmates having the time of
their lives as indoor-only kitties. The floor is strewn with their little
toys, and the tiny tents from Sherry, once merely ...
