Cat Quilt Fundraiser28 Mar 2006 18:06 GMT8
Hiya folks, a colleague of mine who is a fantastic quilter recently made a
beautiful cat themed patchwork quilt, five foot by five foot, because she
was inspired by some fabric. She's now donated the brand new quilt to the
Preston Branch of Cats Protection and I've decided to raffle ...
Hi, from a new member in Japan28 Mar 2006 18:01 GMT29
I have four cats and love to talk about them and hear other people talk
about their cats too.  I was searching for a group and this one looked
like the most fun!  Mine are all "rescue cats" who showed up either at
my door or other people's.  Two are part or full Japanese bobtail, ...
Biazarre colour choices (Not OT)28 Mar 2006 15:44 GMT3
Got up yesterday and decided I had best do some washing of clothes for
my week ahead...
People are wondering why the bizarre colour choices this morning and
the answer is..."I had to pick what I could get out of the washing
Memphis gets cuddly!!28 Mar 2006 04:50 GMT5
Now Memphis is not a cuddly lap cat. He will not go on a lap. Cuddles on his
terms on the floor, yes, lap, no.
At night he and Phoenix are allowed on the bed, they sleep on the bottom of
the bed, one below me, the other below my husband. They come and go as they
Persia on her Crackle Sack28 Mar 2006 00:37 GMT19
She thinks it's as much fun to lounge on as it is to roll around on.

Meowmie is planning something28 Mar 2006 00:29 GMT3
Hi everyone, it's Mayhem.
I think my Meowmie is planning something.  Lately when she's been
petting and scritching me she'll suddenly look in my mouth to check my
teeth.  What's wrong with my teeth?
Personality change following neutering27 Mar 2006 18:29 GMT9
Apparently, my 15 month-old tom-cat Stinky has reverted to kittenhood
after castration. He plays with his sitster like he used to as a
kitten,
is much more fearful (of loud noises, people, etc), goes out much less
Feeling pretty crappy ...27 Mar 2006 18:04 GMT17
You know how cats are picky eaters?
Well, when Oscar started refusing her wet food, I figured it was
because I'd given her dry food while we went on several overnight
trips.  I know that she loves kibble, so I figured she was just
Baby Eyes - part dog?27 Mar 2006 17:26 GMT10
I was handing out treats in the kitchen. Nibbles from a turkey breast that's
getting too old, and tiny salad shimp. Everyone but Baby Eyes was there,
eagerly snatching each tidbit. If only I'd been able to take bets on who
would eat too much, too fast and puke.... It was Eli. The ...
Sunday morning with the cats27 Mar 2006 16:38 GMT6
I woke at daybreak today. It happens.... The cats were already up, doing
their zoomy rituals. It's so hilarious to watch.
Beatrice makes odd sounds - somewhere between growling and screaming - while
wrestling with Billy, which brings Eli running to make sure nobody is
Gerda's grave (OT)27 Mar 2006 15:16 GMT1
Didn't have time for a long visit (will do it properly next time) but I did
visit the spot where mare & foal are buried. Biggest grave I've ever seen.
Live flowers have been planted at both ends. The dirt is subsiding so it
will need to have more dirt tossed on top.
Sad but rather funny27 Mar 2006 05:33 GMT1

Click on the sound effects link down by "super cat". Some people do not
have enough to worry about.
UPDATE on Sandy27 Mar 2006 03:52 GMT8
Thank you all for your purrs and good wishes for our Sandy-dog.  We
brought her home Thursday after six days in the hospital.  As feared,
she *is* near the end of her road.  Her kidney function is at 20-30%;
the vets worked hard to turn her around but nothing can be done now
You're being watched!27 Mar 2006 03:24 GMT1
Ever look up, and discover your cat is staring at you? Of course. It's one
of their specialities. Here are two examples of that common phenomenon.

I can see it now......27 Mar 2006 02:31 GMT3
The evil glares i'm going to get tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight i'll feed the cats at 7 pm, but promptly at 8 pm the food will
be pulled, and if they are still hungry too bad.  Mayhem is going in
tomorrow for a dental cleaning and is not to have any food after 8 pm
