You may remember Andrea Fuller with Grace, Poppy, Fliss and Flo? Well
I've been trying to get hold of her by phone for the last couple of
weeks to no avail. I've even sent a card asking her to ring me. I
haven't spoken to her for a few months and I'm trying to catch up on her

He's not my father.09 Mar 2006 14:39 GMT4
My friend Jon came over to visit and Nocturne was NOT amused.  DP is
away in New Brunswick on medical clerkship this month, and Nox usually
likes Jon, but not this time.  This man was NOT her father and she was
NOT impressed by his presence here...never mind that every other time,
Line of Demarcation?09 Mar 2006 10:15 GMT5
Persia was in my lap while I was typing early this morning.  I noticed she
had some dandruff by the base of her tail so I gave her a good scritching
along her spinal cord and promised her I'd brush her later while saying
"kitty scritches!".  She loves that!  (I also promised myself ...
Rebecca lounged on me!09 Mar 2006 05:47 GMT8
Often Sundance will sleep on me when I'm napping on the sofa.  Until
recently, Rebecca would only curl up by my feet, but recently she also lay
down on me right next to Sundance -- TWICE!!!!!!  She has only ever sat on
my lap 2 or 3 times in the 4 years or so we've been together, ...
WOW!09 Mar 2006 04:01 GMT11
I'm sitting here at my desk with my jaw dragging on the floor...
As usual, Sammy has been tapping my shoulder* all morning asking me to flip
her toy around so she can play (or sometimes only so she can lie on the
floor and watch the "birdie" flying around for her entertainment).  ...
Ringworm saga continued09 Mar 2006 02:34 GMT10
The vet rang me today about the latest ringworm test. The sample had
become contaminated so they couldn't determine whether there was any
ringworm left! <sigh> I have to take them in again, but at least it
won't cost me anything. Apparently there's no lab in Finland that can do
The Black Cat09 Mar 2006 02:24 GMT2
Seeing Pam's wonderful poem about Capt. Pine Cone, Esq., made me
remember one I had written about Capt. Midnight (RB).  It's called The
Black Cat.

Last night as I was going to bed, I noticed that the cat bed in my
bedroom was overflowing: the bed holds one large cat, but there were
*three* in it: one 18 pound Tigger, a 10 pound Ozy, and a 6-7 pound
Millie.  <http://web.umr.edu/~daviste/sardine2.jpg> Millie doesn't

I am the fundraising event coordinator for the SPCA of Northern VA.
Several days ago I got an email from the District Manager of Borders
Books inviting us to a book signing by Rita Mae Brown.  For those
who don't know of her, she is a prolific writer and animal lover.
